Looks like my tray is recovering nicely. 2.5days after spawning.
When should I put a casing on this tray?

Looking good! Wait a bit longer for it to fully colonize before casing.

Yeah I’ve started to think of pans subs like cakes. When they look 100% for sure done give them another day or two.
I had to recase my first few tubs before I caught on.

Little update on my pan-cakes. Odd difference in progression but things look like they are on the right track. I'm starting to think that there might have been a draft of cold air on the side with the slower pots. It's been chillier these last couple of days and that is the side with my window. They are pretty cold and let a fair bit of air in. Or they are just going slower... who knows.

Particularly happy with how this pan cambo fse pot is shaping up.

lookin good covers👍 but can i make a suggestion. that is i would take that plastic piece ur cakes ar sitting on top of and shorten it up on all sides a lil bit. u ate blocking a lot of the air from rising upward. it will for sure increase ur temps and give u a better amount of fae. if u see on mine how i have an equal amount of space around my trays and the walls allowing as much air to rise upwards as possible.

Yeah good suggestion, they are just the lids that have the labels on so I didn't forget which pots were cambo and which were cyan.
I really need to replace the 'shelf' they are sat on as it's solid rather than a grid.

It was all I had at the time. I have some important real life stuff to finish up by this weekend, then I'm a bit freer to sort out the finer details of the chamber.

if i go to wally world u can get a dish rack cheap as hell. the grid part dont really mean anything cuz as u can see my trays cover my entire rack. however i have at least a 4-5 inch gap all the way around the tray and the walls to get as much air rising upward as possible. i bet once u find somethin u wanna grow a tray of u will be able to create more space around it. but hr fruits look healthy and thats all that matters.

I have a small question regarding the casing. I have peat moss and vermiculite and I would like to control the ph using calcium carbonate. Let's say I want to prepare 1L of casing.. what is the corresponding amount of calcium carbonate I have to add to reach the desired ph?

:/ I've just been doing big pinches or a teaspoon. never really measured it so much. Maybe one day I will.

I guess I will have to buy ph stripes to check. I will try to measure when I do it then!
