How big is your tent? I plan on converting my standard martha into a jcm style fruiting tent in the next month. With two heaters and the high powered air pump I have I feel it should be plenty to keep the whole tent nice and warm/humid.

Yeah I recently gave somebody jams from 8 months ago with no complaints.

I think the Aussies are either weaker or have a different high. I haven’t tried them but I gave them to a guy who has a weird natural tolerance and said he’d never had visuals until I gave him jambos and wild coast.

This time he took 2.2g and said no visuals but a medium to strong body high. Although that was two hours after he took them and I haven’t heard from him since so it could’ve been one of those things where you’re so high you think it’s not working at first.

Ok thanks. I'm familiar with your tub design. That was my original plan until I saw a tent at the hardware store with a gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

I guess I was more concerned about heating the entire tent vs. just a tub. But you're probably right it would be plenty.

Thanks!

I can highly suggest jcm's tub in cold rooms. I live in a very drafty, cold, old house but the water tub/bubble stone fc has been working like a dream here.

Thanks JCM. I will have plates waiting.
I started to make a tub like yours, then I decided to build a tent. Now I’m having a good idea for the tub. Or it’s because I just woke up and should of hit the coffee and not the pen.
So there was a small hospital that went out of business. I got all kinds of cool shit from there for free. I got 2 stainless steel carts that they use. The 80qt weather tight tote fits on top perfectly. With two shelves below to hold pumps, cords and this —> https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwiFuPXw0o7uAhUOobMKHUqHDiIYABAGGgJxbg&ae=2&sig=AOD64_0Pnb7qS6a7lUiI3zTpE0XIWqxf0g&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjn8O7w0o7uAhUQq1kKHbwPDs4Qwg96BAgDECQ&dct=1&adurl=
This would make this tub mobile so I can tuck it in the closet. Bring it out for the daylight or if you just want your Shroom’s to watch your favorite shows with you.
Where did that pen go?? :flyhigh:

Thanks for the responses JC and Aka:biggrin::thumbup:

Aka, that's interesting. I had myself gotten a very similar situation.
Me, when I tried just 0.5gr pan cyan wild coast a couple weeks ago, I had crazy visuals like never before (I had only ate cubensis til then). And i gave a friend of mine 1gr from the very same batch and he told me he had none visuals, literally zero. He mentioned he had great introspection and a great body feel, but no visuals.
I guess there's a lot when it comes to individual response (tolerance maybe?)

I was wondering, if a spore print is labeled as rw and is more brownish than purpler brown what might that is?

An old friend of mine was immune to mushrooms somehow. Me and the rest of my crew would all trip HARD off 3 or 4 grams (cubes) and he wouldn't get anything whatsoever. Same bag. A week or so later we were all tripping again, he bought and ate an ounce and yet again was stone sober for the night. We continued to trip and he quit buying any because he was sick of wasting his money lol. The only thing I could think of is that he's Saudi Arabian so maybe his physiology was different...? I dunno. He'd get higher than giraffe pussy on acid though  some people are weird.

Tigerstrike - RW is supposed to have a brown(rusty) coloured sporeprint so it's probably RW.

I think if it's got a purple tinge it's displaying traits of reverting, I wouldn't quote me on that last bit tho.

I think you're right. From my understanding and he can chime in of course but his goal was the rust colored spores and trying to stabilize that trait. But I also feel like that question should probably be in his thread and not the pan thread

Standard 4-shelf mini greenhouse, 27x16x63.

I wasn't sure if people were running tubs inside of tents, or how effective they were in that situation. I guess I'll see what works for me after getting it setup and running.

So about Aussies (specifically those from a popular sponsor vendor on here) - is it normal for them to have really thin myc compared to other pans (jams, sandose, bisporus, etc)? I've got a few plates that have the fast wispy growth pattern everyone talks about, but it's always so thin I can hardly see it unless I put the plate up to the light. This has happened with every single plate of Aussies I've made, and not at all with others. But just want to see if this is normal or a sign that I shouldn't waste my time on the cultures I'm getting.

thats awsum u guys are havin such great results with the fcs. makes me happy knowin i actually helped others knock out some pan grows. its not nothin fancy or anything but it works great and the part i like the most is there is no controllers or anything crazy and most of all it is the completely simple maintainence schedule and thats just add water as needed👍

thats funny u didnt know it was me but that was exactly why i made the post i did cuz i knew someone wouldnt know it was me and be like who the fuck is this guy. cuz i do the same thing and i just look at avatars and know who ppl are😂

ya aka the jambos are very good and i too have givin them to friends and it absolutely blew their mind that a single 1.0 gram capsule did what it did to them.

I have not run anything in it yet. Same size gh. I got a small tub with water, 200w heater. Also have just a small pump and 2 stones pushing 2lpm each. With the heater at max 93f and pumps going at max. Humidity 2 levels up reach 80+% easily. I turned heat to 83,  That allows for plenty of fog and fanning. I’m going to heat room to 75. Heat tent to 83-85 with humid air from tub. My fans will be on inkbird running cooling cycle on temp setting. Holding whatever temp I want fans will blow. Fogger at half power, is on the same inkbird humidity setting to my choice. I tested it for 24hours and casing mix in a tray was still the same as I left it. The rest of the tent is basically a jartha. I got it apart right now to clean but I will get it all together again. This is the controller I have. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_.EC-FbJP9KG4D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
http://http://
These are old pics. I tried a couple air stones up top at 2lpm each which did not show any results in test. I’m leaving it an option for later.
Everything unplugs outside of tent. I laid plastic over it then popped wheels on and taped plastic. So I can unplug everything, roll it out and clean. Plastic is tapped on with paper tape. When it gets dirty you will know. Easily comes off and replaceable. I’m looking into a check valve for fogger but I really just need to start running live trials to see what don’t work right.

in my opinion the aussies of late are total shit. i dont know if its over domestication issues or what but i truely am at a loss for words to describe how bad things were when i tried several times from several different prints only to end up with complete garbage. i mean im talkin beyond all hope. i know asura also had many issues as well with aussies and is still tryin to find some worth a shit the last we spoke of it. maybe he can chime in to his experiences with them lately as well.

but im sure there is still some mighty fine aussies out there its just a matter of getting hold of them. i just know i did 9 grows in total and all were the same trash

That's really good to know. All I've gotten is this super light stuff from every plate I've grown out, and when I've thrown then to grain I can't even really tell whether they're colonizing or the jars are just drying out over time (i.e., the myc is almost invisible and just makes the grains look slightly lighter and hazy). If it's not just me, that'll save me from wasting more time and plates and jars trying to make something happen. Thanks.
