Does it help at all to grow grass in the same tub? I know I’ve seen a few done like that but not sure if it was beneficial or just an experiment.

That’s an impressive clone, I’m surprised such a small shroom could support that jar.
Especially if misting them will knock them down lol.

Jake how many of those clone shrooms usually would make up a dry gram? They seem so tiny you’d have to eat a handful even with the potency.

Also what do you think the dry weight of that tray will be??

one day.

That was one of the first things I noticed when I was researching before getting into cult. Looking at the ancient threads this site suggests there’s a night and day difference in ms grows from then and now.

That would also explain why it seems a lot of the guys who’ve been doing this a long time are wary of ms.

When I got basically a canopy my first grow after using a syringe and having no idea what I was doing I was almost positive it had to be the years of mushroom eugenics making it very hard to get a shitty yield.

There’s a cube called purple mystic that’s relatively new, like a few years, and I’m pretty sure they were having problems getting it to even fruit for a long time. There’s a whole thread about it where the guy actually discovers it in Malibu and spreads the prints via shroomery.

That’s what I was gonna ask, you gonna clone the big ones or clusters?

That’s probably a dumb question, both obviously.

Are aborts from these also more potent like cubes?

I’m right there with you man.

Just got some germination on my Jamaican plate.

My main goal in life is now to eat something other than cubensis.

Lol yeah that’s what I said too.

I had a friend ask me when they’d be ready yesterday and I told him idk a couple months at the earliest I just got the spores...then I got home and bam there’s the myc.

These have a much quicker grow cycle than cubes once they get on grain right? I still need to reread everything but I remember them being crazy fast in the tek.

I just made lc with that z also, was hoping to have it on grain by now but it was the main casualty of my plate fumble last week lol.

Right on yeah I’m totally confident I’ll have no problem up til fruiting, is it worth converting a big SAB size tote into a hc with a fogger or something like that?

I’m pretty much expecting to get like two sickly mushrooms or a couple aborts my first run, but if I get even enough to have a medium dose I’ll be super happy. Clone would be nice too.

I swiped the spores on the 27th so about three days to germ.

Lol that lc reminds me of germs from a cold med commercial.

Where did you have problems with the pan cake tek?

That’s one I was considering running for a first try.

Man those are like small cube size.

Alright so here’s my germ plate. I want wispy correct?

Any suggestions or should I let it go some more before transfers

Yep, on a lumpy end of the agar bottle plate.

I was gonna toss it but figured I might as well streak it, glad I did.

Ok cool I was just gonna ask.

Since I read to look for wispy I was thinking the top and bottom of that same colony and the one next go it. I thought the tiny one down low was bacteria the last couple days til I got the condensation off lol.

Seeing as it’s my first run with these I’ll be taking a whole bunch anyways.

Idk about pans but with cubes I for sure have some plates that get rings from temp.

I can almost use one as a calendar lol, there was a night I cut the heater off to hit the SAB and forgot to turn it back on and the ring from that day was like twice as thick as the others.

So here’s my germ and T1s so far.

Any suggestions?

I know they still need a few days to really see what’s going on but I’ve got a couple distinct types of myc.

For the T1s Top right seems to be fastest but top left has a good mix of speed and thicker uniform growth so far. I’m still looking at it through cube goggles though.

Upper left on the germ plate?

I mixed up what transfer came from what colony but I can match them by wedge shape.

I’ll take more anyways, but that’s the type of growth I should look for?

I remember reading wispy was good so I was thinking the bottom colony on the germ plate but that didn’t seem right lol.

Ok cool. So you don’t like that super fuzzy colony on the germ plate?

I just poured a stack so I’ll be taking more soon.
