Yeah I recently read that there are no issues with dunking pans. I think I'll try a dunk after second flush when my pans get going.

Hmm. I always assumed some bacteria was more yellowish and that yeast looked more tiny and granular-like
I guess I should research contams more. I just tend to care if it's clean or dirty but I guess that may not be the best philosophy. Might as well learn more about them. They can be interesting as long as they aren't in my good plate

Hmm. Might be worth messing with if that print is still around.
I've spammed these in like three threads now, but screw it. Belongs here too.
Panaeolus cyanescens Hawaii

Panaeolus bisporus Colville

I think it's worth mentioning that on my first one or two goes with the Pan bisporus (all separate MS attempts from the same print) the myc on grain looked much wispier than this third attempt. It looked the same on agar as the first two attempts though. Grain prep was similar, albeit perhaps less wet this time. Maybe it likes oats more than WBS or rye, I doubt that should matter though...
Other grain jar examples:

These are all Panaeolus cintulus. Found on the same pile of hpoo, at the same time. Thought it interesting to see the difference between how they look based on where they grew. Super fat on straight dung. Towards the grass and in more shade, much smaller caps, thinner stipes, never seen bluing on any of the small ones, but the fat guys have bruised strongly for me before. Not always though.

I should have LI'd all my pans. I'm way too impatient for A2G. I thought pan cyan would be fast on grain, I've always heard that....
My grain is good. But damn it's getting close to a month now.

My grain colonizes slower than anyone I know around here. I'm not sure how the hell people claim to get full colonization from cubes in two weeks from a wedge.
I would have been happy with 3 weeks for these pans but it has been 3 and I even heated my room up to 72-74 after the first week.

74 I would think would be plenty warm.
I don't know where else to put them that is hotter. I really don't want to pay to heat it warmer than that. I figured low 70s I should have shaken after 3 weeks.

I'm at work I'll throw one up when I get home tonight.
Temps were mid 60s the first week. Second and third week were and still are 74 degrees.
My filters aren't the issue. My grain isn't the issue. I didn't use soft water.
I never shake after throwing a wedge in because when I have done that in the past the wedge usually sticks to the lid and I can't get it off without going back into the sab and opening it. I rocked it a little bit. I tilt the grain so it goes against the glass on the side.
Everything is slow as fuck for me except oyster and ganoderma. The piopinno was fast also

Weird. Your using hoo and straw?
My bisporus is very slow on grain but it colonized my hpoo sub in just like 2-4 days. I used a 1:1 ratio as well
