Help Me Identify possible Weilii's (w/spore print pic)
    #22216033 - 09/10/15 09:09 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Someone was riding their mountain bike in the woods in one of the North Ga counties known for Weilii's. These were found growing in patches with each other. It's believed it to be Weilii, but would like to defiantly verify that it is. Help is greatly  appreciate. Thank you.

ETA: nice bruising even though some of the bruising looked too good to be true.  the cut stipe is the goods.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_caerulescens

I just did a big update to this article, renamed it, added all synonyms and updated the microscopic description a lot.

Great info there, thanks.  I knew, or had read, that weilii were Caerulescens, but didn't realize all of the other synonyms.

Good stuff!

Nice find, advice, if your location is secret enough let them dry out and drop spores. I killed my person patch and or its been years since the weather was perfect as it is this week.

Just to make sure.....this is was one of the few times the dude has hunted for weilii....so hes not well versed, but believes now that he knows what he is looking for. Can someone verify these all look like weilli as well. Alot of research on where and what to look was done and he believes he has them positively id'd, but would like some back up before any these are ingested. Thank you all for your help.

Yep, you did it again, good going.

What habitat are you finding these in so easily?

Finding them in parks mainly on downhill sections where field grass meets the tree line of the woods.
