Reishi has helped my colitis...maybe?

I was camping this past weekend and found some reishi (formed complete ones and soft budding ones)growing on some birch. Brought some home, ground it up and pc'd it for 40 minutes to make a tea. Drank two glasses a couple nights ago. Yesterday morning I had a solid bowel movement (normal from what I can remember). That evening I had another one. This morning I had another one.
I've been diagnosed with a mild form of colitis for two years this July. Living with mild cramps and very loose stools, sometimes mud pie consistency or diarrhea. Once in a blue moon I'll have a normal stool but never two in a row let alone 3!
Could it be the reishi tea? hmmmmm

Just an update: (someone might find the info useful)
Had a normal movement yesterday early evening. Luck ran out later in the evening and t his morning it's all back to mud pies again. LOL.
I ran out of tea. I need to find some Reishi to try, or grow it myself. I'm curious if I can get myself back to normal and drink enough over a month to where I can totally cure myself or if drinking it is going to be a lifestyle (which isn't a bad idea itself either if that's the case)

If you are looking for more reishi, I've got pounds of wild Ganoderma tsugae. If you are interested I could ship some to you. PM me, I'm sure we can work something out.

Certainly looks like something you should pursue. I am engaged in m y first reishi project. It is going pretty well so far. They are not at all hard to grow. No harder than cubes. Probably easier.

Cool that Reishi is having positive effects for you considering its numerous positive effects it would not surprise me if it helped your colitis. I used to grow mushrooms if you search my journal etc you can see my past efforts :0
I am currently selling Organic Reishi on my website Vitalherbs.co.uk it is of a very high quality and may be of interest to you but why not grow some yourself too?
Good luck and I hope your health improves.

Yes I found a guy on here who has red Reishi strain that originates in China. Bought a culture on agar, just need to wait for him to clean it up and I'll be growing that bad boy over and over!
