So I mixed my substrate got it into jars and started pasteurization then realized I'm lat for work FML so I stopped the stove and got ready for work as I left the temp in the core of the coir was at 100 degrees so Idk if it eventually climbed up to pasteurization Temps and stayed there or not I'm assuming it didn't but I'm not sure so now what is this coir screwed? Do I just restart the pasteurization all over again when I get home? And what about my other half of substrate that never even got into jars yet will that still need just a hour of pasteurization or should it go longer since it's been prepared for 9hrs

Lol it's coir? Why are you even worried about pasteurization temps? I have a sterilization tech about coir that works fine.

I'm a slob and didn't even pasteurize my last two batches. I know that's playing with fire, and I don't advocate it, but I wanted to underscore how fucked you aren't. If you want to pasteurize later, it'll be just fine. That goes for any more sensitive substrate, too.

You can run coir at 200F for an hour, three times, and it still won't fuck it up.

I fill a pot about half way with coir. Then fill it about 3/4 with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for ten mins. Dump it out, strain of excess water, let cool, then spawn.never had a problem. I definitely do not pasteurize.
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
