I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting so unbelievably tired of your "both parties suck but the republicans are okay" agenda. It's so god damn tiring.

Every single thread. It's like you're the battered wife of the GOP and you've developed stockholm syndrome.

Oh, by the way.  Anything but democrap doesn't mean republican.

Explain to me how libertarianism is going to solve the problems you get butthurt over every day.

"Government is corrupt so erase/immasculate the government" is about the depth of your philosophy.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Trump 2016 is just what nobody believed Palin 2012 would become, but it's becoming.

I will bet anyone here that if trump gets the nomination, he will pick Ted Cruz as VP.

Rubio.

Trump is gonna have more trouble with Latinos than with women. Plus with Rubio he gets a foothold in Florida, which Trump will absolutely need to win.

Yeah, if we just trusted conservatives, we'd be doing great.

How'd the 70s and 80s turn out?

Everyone had access to healthcare before as well, please tell us what's better about higher deductibles and higher co-pays with higher premiums?

Did you think he actually made good on his promises? Because even most liberals are highly disappointed in the end result.

I am highly disappointed, yes. However, healthcare is easily accessible for everyone in this country now, and before the ACA it wasn't. He also fixed many issues within the industry such as the 'pre-existing condition' copout that insurance companies used to use. So no, I'm not thrilled with it, I almost wish he hadn't even done it, because it would still be a key bipartisan issue. However, I think he did make good on his promise. He did the least he was obliged to do.

My feelings as well. Worst part is now it will take a miracle to bring single payer to the forefront of discussion anytime soon. For most of the country, healthcare is either fixed, or needs to go back to the old system.

Libertarianism is a fucking joke.

It's the agnosticism of politics. Too chicken shit to say anarchist (atheist), so they attach a more mild, vague label to avoid criticism.

To my knowledge, nobody in this thread likes Obama, let alone the status quo.

So give it a rest.

Liberals prefer concrete plans, which Trump is weak on.

You are right.  How about "IN my administration, every bill will be posted for 5 days before it crosses my desk so the people can see it."  or "in my administration, I won't have any lobbyists"

:highfive:

Or how about a REAL concrete plan:  "We need more shovel ready jobs"  :lolsy:

You crack me up man.

A few of the reasons why every liberal I know dislikes Obama.

What an asshole.

Well, in America, you can sue anyone for anything, he's also boycotting Fox News, about time someone stood up to the status quo...

And what better hero to stand up to billionaire CEOs than a billionaire CEO.

I see you took a heading of a Webster definition and conveniently omitted the actual full definition:

"1:  any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2a :  a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

b :  a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3:  a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done"

All governments own things.  That doesn't mean all governments are socialist.  Public education, police, fire, military, etc. is not socialism.  Find me a single modern nation on the planet that doesn't have a publically funded police system.

It's not that all educators are liberals, but they end up being forced to teach and enforce liberal ideologies.

I knew a few public school teachers in the past, they weren't liberal at all, yet they admitted once they walked into that school every morning they turned on that liberal persona to make their professional career survive.

By liberal persona do you mean not proselytizing Christianity or demonizing minorities?

I went to public school almost exclusively in the South. You would not believe what the more conservative teachers got outraged over. Or maybe you would idk.

But its like woof said, as you get more educated, you come into contact with more liberals. This is not a coincidence, nor a conspiracy.

I see what youre saying, and definitely agree that somewhere along the way teachers became the problem and notnthe students or parents, but i dont see how thats liberals' fault.

If anything its the right that demonizes teachers.
