ATL7 contam?
    #22210578 - 09/09/15 02:03 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Hey guys, so I checked on my jars that I put an agar wedge in around a week ago, and one of them is definitely contaminated :sad: One other one is making me suspicious, but I'm not sure.
Jar 1(definitely contaminated):

Jar 2(I'm not sure):

The smaller patch is what makes me suspicious, as it isn't connected to the wedge at all. There seems to be a small piece of maybe agar where it starts from, but I'm not sure.

I'm gonna go toss the first jar, as it is definately contaminated. It was probably because of my procedure, and not the plate. As I have 3 other jars that look absolutely clean.

PS, what really sucks this is the first contam I've had since I started agar:sad: 16 jars of no contams..

Really? :sad: It looks pretty similar to the wedge myc. I'm gonna keep a close eye on it and see what some others have to say.

It'd suck if it as contamed though, but it happens...
