Use linux & opensource software (for casual internet usage at least). It's also incredibly easy to stay up to date with the latest patched software, as if you use a package manager you issue one command and it updates your whole system.
Firefox is probably one of the best browsers in terms of privacy because of all the addons that are available for it.. If you use disconnect.me, adblock plus, ghostery & noscript, you can control a lot of the tracking going on (particularly google & facebook). HTTOS anywhere is also a very handy plugin, it forces your browser to use HTTPS wherever available, so that anyone looking at / trying to filter you connection has a much more difficult time doing it.
Also tor is useful not just for drugs but for general browsing on topics you wouldn't want to be publicly associated with; I find the wikileaks stuff intriguing as fuck, but then I wouldn't necessarily want that in my ISP logs...
You can route other things through tor too (like IRC), but a lot of normal internet services block tor traffic.
There are also internet services that provide some degree of anonymity.. like duckduckgo.com which is a search engine that doesn't log your searches, or search.disconnect.me (acts like a vpn to mask your searches on major search engines). Disposable email addresses are handy if you don't want to register for a site with a real email address.
If you torrent, most major clients support blocklists, which block known government, piracy, production companies etc from connecting to your client and trying to download off of you (which is how they establish you're sharing pirated material).
If you use email and you don't want it's contents to be read, or you want to verify who you're actually speaking to is who they say they are, PGP (or GPG, the open source alternative) is standard. It's equivalent to a digital signature and although not perfect, it works.
VeraCrypt for virtual disk encryption. It allows you to create an encrypted virtual container, which you can store whatever in. Useful for personal information / bank stuff, or whatever.
With linux you can also encrypt your entire disk using LUKS / LVM (again under linux). It has barely any noticeable effect on the speed of your OS and is particularly handy for laptops or any portable device you are likely to lose. I do PC repair and it's quite scary how much sensitive personal information is kicking around on the average computer. In the wrong hands it would not be hard to steal an identity.
If you use an android smartphone I would also suggest ditching the stock rom in favour of an open source community rom (such as CyanogenMod). Not only are they faster, with more cutting edge features & better privacy controls, but you can actually view the source code in full, so you actually know what is running on your device.
I could go on, but really in terms of privacy and security, open source is generally safer.

One more thing, security isn't really about tools. Security is about being savvy. Using public proxies or vpns or anything from an untrusted source is more likely to fuck your shit up than looking at dodgy porn.
Using a proxy every piece of data you send through the internet is routed through a 3rd party computer. Most data is unencrypted, and it really would not be hard to log, filter and extract useful information if you connected to a malicious proxy service.
Trust is absolutely key. If you know what you're looking for, or how people attack computers, you can run old unpatched OSs without antivirus and all that shit, without any real consequence.
One of the most useful pieces of equipment in compsec is a hardware firewall. If you've got a router, then you already have one. This blocks open ports on your computer from a separate device and provided you're not fully retarded provides a great deal of security.

Good info Cepheus, I'm going to look into these things. Only run Linux already anyway, but really need to start on the tor stuff soon.
Love, Hanz.

I was just kidding. But in answer to your question, somewhere out there is a lolpic that shows two Hentai/anime girls, one is a flat chested petite, short chick and the other is a Tall wide hipped ridiculously top heavy chick. The first one is like in her 20s or 30s, the other is 14 or under. Hentai girls apparently age backwards. I'd never heard of this until that pic, because I'm not really into anime or anything. I guess somehow that lets them get away with it.. I dunno.

Yes, backward aging happens often in regular anime too. The busty teen with the flat chested landlady... I'm not much into hentai though, there's enough of that at home, but I do like the stuff that's dripping with emotion.

Stupid cartoons, who cares?
