Giving up alcohol for the psychodelic trip experience. Thoughts?

Just like the title says I am trying to greatly slow down to quiting alcohol. I have barely any experience in the world of psychedelics. I have done only a half 8th of cubensis and actually greatly enjoyed my experience. Alcohol has been fucking up my life too much. So now I would like to trip/fry on the occasional saturday. I have experienced the world of blow and emphetamines and I am done with that. I moved to the PNW humboldt county area and things like shrooms and lsd are extremely common. What are your opinions and tips to let me know in advance.

a good dose can really stir up the waters.
like I create a world around my self convinced of things tucked away not thought about again, passively accepted & forgotten.
a heavy dose takes me around & shows me one 'glitch in the matrix' and the whole 'curtain' of creation/projection is put into question. makes me think if I live in a world of self induced manipulation, or, if I am free.
personally I enjoy alcohol in moderation once every two weeks (a few beers). I trip balls frequently, from what I can tell from my non tripper friends it seems to be the thing to do but doesn't really do anything for me. good after a days work in the summer heat no doubt! but after all it's a depressant and psychedelics are like enhancers - (in my mind) they are in direct conflict with each other.
bottom line is I think that's a tremendously wonderful idea & wish you good luck with finding your path.
Lastly: I advise fasting 5 hours before ingesting & eat at least 4 grams dry solo with low stimulation (ie: at night, in your room) with a few pieces of fruit, water, clean sheets and a good healthy meal ready for when you're coming down.
and a mirror if you dare

Great Thanks for the advice. I know of a couple spots where psi cyan mushrooms should be. A lot of alder trees around there. Just have to wait for the first rain in october I believe in these parts.

Start with low doses. You can always take more, but if you take too much unless you have benzos you're too have a long terrible experience possibly.

Ever since I started tripping, I've lost almost all interest in alcohol.

It's not like before benzo s people didn't eat mushrooms. I don't buy into that at all and would never take any pharmaceuticals on a dose ever. Not having it does not mean you'll be more likely to have a long terrible experience -- lol wtf? Where do you get info like that??

Well I kinda gave up most of my addictive and Destructive behaviour (meth, alcohol and coke) because of a certain shroom trip which at some point I experienced a pretty big panic attack. If I had a benzo on hand at the time i probably would have learn nothin .
Don't count on shrooms to replace alcohol or any drugs in a social environment ,it just don't work that way.
Mushroom is just a teacher, it's really easy to not listen and go back to your previous behavior.
Listen to what the shroom say and make the choice that are good for you. I still drink like 2-3 times a month you don't have to completly stop, just learn to be moderate (not the same with meth tho lol it's probably impossible to be moderate with this)
Edit: even if you try to switch the addiction for like lsd and other psychedelic . Creating bonding with drugs is the problem . Lsd every weekend instead of amps or coke and booze Will get you in the same ball park. It will lose his magic at some point . The key is moderation

After I started smoking weed, I was like: fuck alcohol, it does't do shit and makes you sick - but this was uncounscious decision at that time, I just stopped drinking frequently without even noticing it and developed everyday smoking habit I tried to change the frequency but always fell back into everyday smoking in a matter of week.
Now, shrooms very counsciously warned me that this aint't going good and that I need to stop completely for a while, which is happening just now Will see what happens, I'm six days into sobriety (except occasional beer or wine) and apparently it's pretty easy if a strong decision is made...
to you pal
