This is my very first grow and i noc'd up 4 jars a week ago and they all have mycelium spots about the size of a pringles chip lid... i was wondering if its possible to cut pieces of the mycelium from brf cakes and put it into a ready to inoculate jar? Also here is a jar I knocked up a week ago, does everything look fine ?

Hard to tell. Looks good from what I can see. It is possible to cut up a part of your mycelium and transfer it to a sterile jar. You would have to do this while working in a SAB, and with properly sterilized tools. If you plan on going this route, I would transfer to grain, not to BRF. If you feel like this is something you're interested in, you should also look into agar.

if u have a PC, i would use grains. as far as how to inoculate them, yes, u can use BRF. is that the best option for someone who has never done something of that nature before? i would personally say no, that option is not ideal for that skill level, but it is effective none the less.
is a "pringles chip lid" that much larger than a "pringles chip" that you needed to clarify the size like that? could be i suppose.
