Survey - What's your favorite tripping music? 1

Okay, so before you say anything about this thread being done before, I know that already. It has been started many times as far as I can tell.
But I was hoping this one could be different.
This time I want everyone to post their favorite tripping music and link to the music on youtube or another video site so we can scroll through the thread and click play and listen as we read. You know, a lot more multi-media-y.
Also you could post stories about your experiences and why it's so meaningful to you.
Let's face it, music and psychedelics were made for each other. This is for all the trippers and music enthusiasts out there!
I'll get us started here with an example:
1. Govinda - Worlds Within (album)
When I was newer to mushrooms, my friends and I would go out to a secret camping spot on a creek and have an absolute fucking BALL. We would have total privacy where even forest service couldn't get to us. Loud sound systems, mushies, glowsticks, the whole nine. This is when I discovered Govinda's music. I think it's perfect for mushrooms. To me it sounds like Middle Eastern/Indian vibes with new school trip hop and electronica. It's light and airy, but also punchy and hard-hitting on the subs. And the whole album Worlds Within really takes you on a journey when you listen to it start to finish.
2. Benn Jordan - Pale Blue Dot (album)
Benn Jordan is an electronic music producer who also goes by the alias The Flashbulb. This is an ambient album he wrote as a tribute to the late Carl Sagan. It's all about space and it's TRIPPY AS FUCK... Another one of those albums you know were written with psychedelics in mind (sometimes literally.) It also must be listened to from start to finish to be fully appreciated as it tells a story. It's really mellow and seems to inspire this "I'm too zenned out and have too much compassion to be worried about anything" kind of trip. Like it really puts life into perspective.
3. Venetian Snares - Calvalcade of Glee and Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom Poms (album)
It's a bit intense, so reserve it for the plateau of your trip or after probably. But it's a perfect mix of dark and light elements combined, which is where I think the real beauty is found. This one is definitely a mind bender. For anyone who hasn't heard of Venetian Snares yet, get ready. It definitely changed my life. A lot of his music is drum and bass bits and analog synthesizers with tons of effects and he makes these HUGE atmospheres that feel like whole other worlds even when your listening sober. Punchy break core drums and flittering high hats wrapped in psychedelic synths. He is a one man psychedelic symphony, enough said.
Now it's your turn!

Anything with a good melody gets me on that level with or without drugs, when I play this song and just look out at the vastness of the world and the universe I get bombarded with intense feelings of what the world and universe has to offer, endless possibilities.
This one shares a special place in my heart because it was my first song I tripped to, kicks in good @ 2:30 still gives me goosebumps first time experiencing mushrooms to those lyrics
Can't go wrong

Really a lot of music appeals to me while tripping but recently I have been loving certain rap while tripping, some to name a few.
A$AP FERG:
Following that A$AP Rocky:
Flatbush Zombies:
Danny Brown:
D12, now I know they are old as shit & nothing anymore but I cant help jam their shit whenever I get back into rap this being a favorite to dance silly to in my room off my face on shrooms.
Chance the Rapper:
& a personal favorite Death Grips:
I could keep going but this is my two-cents to the never ending pool of threads like this & I love heaps of different kinds of music but right now this genre is my jam. I hope some peeps also dig tunes of this nature while tripping we are a rare breed or so I think haha.
Edit: A band that holds a close spot to me is Villains (Now known as Yuth Forever) are metal band that plays songs with grim vibes & deep lyrics, nothing new really & most people will think its utter shit. but I connect to it on a very high level & will always spare a moment to listen to this song while tripping.

Yea Lsd from rocky is great
Most of the rap sounds stupid as fck when I'm tripping but for some reason it seems that some of those deep slow trap beat and melodic voice is getting something from me .
Rest of the time I listen to like yoga music when tripping
This one particularly, listened to it way too many times on dmt and shrooms

I like this tune been tripping on it a lot lately:
The slow bouncy bassline with those haunting eastern vocals melts me

Nice! Gold star for everyone who actually linked to the music like in the description!
Likes so far: Eclipse3130 the EDEN and KAIN track Jean-Guy Masta the Splendor of Color vid - Those are awesome to trip to! VoodooChild1000 - everything was good! Elff - Love psy trance vibes, and that one is awesomely slow.
Not sure I like any G rap while I'm tripping. That stuff makes me think about city life and how hard things are living in the system. People being brutal freaks me out when I'm way out there. I reserve that for when I've had a few drinks or blunts ha. Then it's CBO, Chance, Keak da Sneak, Mac Dre, Dru Down
 >
But you know what the best DMT music for me is?
Because it's music played by a plant! YUP read the description. It's a thing... And moreover it's tuned to 432Hz which is really important. You triply audiophiles out there should really look into 432Hz tuning if you haven't already. Makes your music sound and FEEL way better.
Let's keep it going peeps! Remember to link to the video so we can watch otherwise this thread will be just like the others, then what's the point? So do a flash link to your music.

Yeah the converter I use called Wavosaur (it converts better than Audacity in my opinion.)
You just 1. download the music to your hard drive 2. open it in wavosaur 3. lower the pitch by 32 cents 4. export to your "432 folder"
http://www.wavosaur.com
Whatever program you use will give you different options. Percent, Cents, or Hz
to get from 440Hz (standard tuning) to 432Hz (natural tuning) you lower it
-EITHER-
1.8% or 32 cents or 8 Hz
Whatever option you have.

Yeah man when you're posting click the blue circular "F" button right next to the insert smiley face button. It will prompt you to copy/paste a link and that's where you put your youtube link, etc. When you post it will embed a video player

Everyone, please write the name of the song by the video so it's saved at least if the video link goes dead.
Some good music so far.
Mulatu Astatke does good things for me:
This is his album "Inspiration Information":
But really going deep I dig Tuvan/Siberian Shamanic Sounds, Chants, Chimes and Drumming; sounds like:
"Gongs and Shamanic Singing" Nikolay Oorzhak (Tuva) Alicija and Richard Eiliakas (Lithuania)
Look for: "Siberian Shamanic Ritual Sounds (Overtones)" It is legit.
-------------------- Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order: 1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine 2)Amanita (urine drank twice) 3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose) 4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators) 5)Salvia (need to try quid)
All readable matter in the above post is ficticious... any similarities to real life are purely coincidental. Blessing.

Jeez, when it comes to music, I'm all over the place.
It's not most people's favorite, and a lot of you might not continue down this post for it, but I've posted stuff in the death metal genre here before. I'm a metalhead through and through even if I also love Phish, Hendrix, and Tool. Technical death metal is my jam. First real metal album I listened to was by Burning the Masses, but I'll link some Fleshgod Apocalypse.
Next is Necrophagist, because even though they broke up, they're highly regarded as one of the greatest technical death metal bands ever. Lots of classics here too, so here's some Fermented Offal Discharge (yes, it means poop) Wait for the solo, this one's sooo beautiful
Phish is the fucking shit as well, good rolling music too. Free, Split Open and Melt, Limb from Limb, Sleep, Waste, sooooo many classics from them. Here's my favorite Free from them, as well as Waste. I'd waste my time with Phish any day of the week.
On a recent roll, my buddy showed me some vaporwave from an artist called Vektroid, who released this under the pseudonym Macintosh Plus.
Finally I'll end on Talking Heads. Some Shroomery member showed me them during another roll. (sorry for not remembering your name, you amazing bastard!) This is Remain in Light, I can't find the original, but the downtune is just as good.

Nice, Mr. Fox!
Damn VoodooChild comin in strong with the supermarket music! That shit made me grin so hard. Definitely going in my "I'm feeling silly" folder.
Fuck yeah aykaye47, young Thrifty!
SpiritShroom trance takes me high too. Everyone's had their nights rolling face bumping trance. At least they should have. There's nothing like that euphoria. Armin is good and I like BT too. He's more conceptual and trippy if you ask me.
flickedbic the Mulatu Astatke is some super fire! And my girlfriend is from Ukraine and I've been looking for some siberian shaman music for us to trip to! That's getting played fasho
pureenergy13 when you listen to necrophagist whilst tripping is it common for you to see the walls melting into a pool of swirling bloody faces and centipedes crawling up into your eyeballs? Or is that just me??... But fo real the vapor wave is flame!
DurgaDurg, that is pretty playful tropical music. It makes me what to walk from the beach down a long jungle path to a waterfall surrounded by coconut palms and lychee fruit and swing from a vine into a crystal pure spring swimming hole, and when I dive in I will find hidden treasure chests. And then I will donate 90% of the profits to the Shroomery! You down?

Has the opposite effect on me I fill I can relax knowing I'm not the only one suffering from the system & living conditions, its like I bathe in the feeling of being disconnected from it while tripping & the brutal aspect, I don't know it gives me any animalistic feeling which has always been a favorite feeling of mine while tripping its hard to describe but the best way I guess I can is that I feel possessed but not out of control or losing my thoughts almost like I have learnt how to control the "hulk" in me while tripping & use it to boost my mood or feelings I never feel angry or anything just more savage I suppose is the word. I can get this feeling with other genres of music but certain rappers hit the sweet spot for me.
Anyone else get vibes like this while tripping or am I the only one haha

People being brutal freaks me out when I'm way out there. I reserve that for when I've had a few drinks or blunts ha. Then it's CBO, Chance, Keak da Sneak, Mac Dre, Dru Down
Has the opposite effect on me I fill I can relax knowing I'm not the only one suffering from the system & living conditions, its like I bathe in the feeling of being disconnected from it while tripping & the brutal aspect, I don't know it gives me any animalistic feeling which has always been a favorite feeling of mine while tripping its hard to describe but the best way I guess I can is that I feel possessed but not out of control or losing my thoughts almost like I have learnt how to control the "hulk" in me while tripping & use it to boost my mood or feelings I never feel angry or anything just more savage I suppose is the word. I can get this feeling with other genres of music but certain rappers hit the sweet spot for me.
Anyone else get vibes like this while tripping or am I the only one haha
......nah...not me....
.... actually I have been mentoring some younger guys in the psychedelic experience and I have done everything I can to brainwash them away from that type of music and those ideas. I want to open their minds to all of the great uplifting music and sounds. I don't want them mired in anger and violence and a sound that proliferates those ideas and concepts.
... also the way that that music is commercialized so that somebody can make a Buck off of spreading these ideas of hurtfulness and mindlessness.
... I'm just an old dude but I was hella into that NWA gangsta rap in the early nineties before I got into classic rock and psychedelic music. My friend gave me Pink Floyd wish you were here and it changed my life! It's so f****** awesome to take these kids to the woods play that awesome music and have them jaw dropped and astonished at how amazing it is and I hope that it's having a deep transformative effect!
.... That's what the music of the heart can do for you :-)!
..... I've hung out with hip hoppers and Grateful Dead family and I always choose Grateful Dead family because those are my people and a lot of the ideology and culture in the hip hop community just doesn't have those deeper feelings that my Grateful Dead family have! Plus that's where the good L is anyways lol :-)!
.... nothing personal whatsoever you seem like a cool dude just put in my two cents out there ......Peace!

I actually don't like music with shrooms
LSD however, I'm all about that classic rock baby. The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi fucking Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, and for the comedown I personally love listening to Bob Dylan because instead of being depressed I just try to understand the poetry.
I'd post some vids but I don't know how to do that thing where it comes as a video player rather than a link

Oh... so it's automatic. Probably should have given the simplest option a shot first.
Sadly a lot of the ones I listed can't be found on youtube anymore, at least none that aren't really bad quality live recordings.

SludgeCity that was some eloquent shit you wrote there! I have totally felt that animalistic feeling while tripping and I know exactly how you feel it can boost you. You definitely have something there... If I'mm gonna go dark I sort of prefer dark drum and bass/Jungle. Check this out:
Does that do it for you, sludge?
DurgaDurg I like that mount kimbie remix, super techy trip-garage. and the Mac man is new to me! thanks for that homie hookup. He has an awesome name phonetically, it rolls off the tongue... like "eyyyyy it's me, mac demarco." This is perfect cause last night I hit the vape and watched the movie Beach Party from the 60's.
devastind87, love the vibes of the tara putra. Very cooled down. And ps your from the looks of your sig you had a good day collecting!
tripsurfer, I've never heard of carbon based lifeforms but that track is blowing my shit! Very very good stuff. My girlfriend is bobbing along to it too. That asleep and well hidden album is awesome too. Maybe not for me tripping but it's definitely very surreal. Like a strange dream or an eerie out of body experience as a child.
Dankman that Flux Luxus shit is wild... You can tell mr. spoonbill had a good connect when he was making that album.
Here's another really good one for while your tripping or the next day during the "afterglow":
Eskmo is a great sound for camp-tripping in the woods:

Here's a link to the soundcloud of this guy I stumbled across. Check out his song Icaro. Gotta listen to it from start to finish and with sub bass:

Ezuma you're right some of that stuff is pretty standard. But good nonetheless! I saw sphongle recently and it was phenomenal! Also liked seeing Infected Mushroom who I'm sure you know is related to Sphongle. Different vibes at both shows, but the same crowd, lol!
xThunder I think "oldie but a goody" is appropriate here. There's a reason it stayed with us the way it has!

I was just adding my recent jams to the list, I thought also the the music I was linking would be the only of its kind to really appear on a thread like this between the swarms of trip-hop/70-80's rock. I know I was linking very "mainstream music" I suppose but it stands to be a unique post in this thread just like pureenergy13 with deathmetal. If I made a thread like this I would rather all walks of music to show up just to keep it interesting apart from the obvious Techno or The Grateful Dead/Pink Floyd which are out-standing favorites in the psychedelic music community but like I said the obvious choice & a boring post.
Don't get me wrong I have sat back in shock & awe listening to Shine On You Crazy Diamond feeling the music move my "soul" while tripping out on shrooms so no need to assume I am not aware that Pink Floyd is life changing tripping music. But to also be narrow minded & to think mentoring/brainwashing people away from certain music is the right thing I cannot agree with at all. Everyone should act/listen freely unguided & rather have themselves be their own mentor so they can learn from their own mistakes like if they ever jammed out to Nickelback or something rather then have some old hippy dude let them know "what's up".
Everyone explores their own music & connects to it on their own level, changing tastes or adding to them as they grow-up. Just my 2-cents.

Jimi Hendrix, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and a lot of others. Pretty much what I listen to when I'm not tripping. Sometimes I'll listen to "trippier" music like Ultimate Spinach, Anthem Of The Sun (G.D.), Ash Ra Tempel, etc. I used to like music more on psychedelics-that's not to say that I still don't enjoy music while tripping.

Oddly enough, i don't listen to much music when tripping, if I were to, i would listen to some sublime, bob marley, pink floyd, ect. I enjoyed that type of music years ago when i first started smoking weed, about 10 years ago. I now listen to hip hop/rap, but would NEVER EVER put that on while tripping, it would make a good trip go bad real quick.

Awesome selections, but remember this is a video thread! Please copy/paste the video links into your post so we can scroll through and listen without having to leave the page. This makes this thread a lot more fun and multi-media-y. Otherwise it's just like all the other similar tripping music threads.

Great links! Amon Tobin is soooo tripped out.
He must be getting some serious LSD from whoever his source is.
Have you ever thought about being an EDM pseudo-celebrity like these guys and all the drug connections you would have? I mean, I would imagine that guys like Squarepusher or Amon Tobin for example have access to the most pure of anything they want! Not to mention the little that I know about the Grateful Dead Family and the LSD rings and so forth. Straight up "kid in a candy store" life!
Here's the video I put on during my most recent trip on 2.5 grams of Hawaiians! (Lemon Tek)
It was PHE-NO-ME-NAL!!!!!
I saw the night sky open up and there were gods in the heavens examining me and scanning me to see that my intentions were good, and so I faced them and tried to show them my energy was pure and that I was ready for them to show me truth. Later that trip I was visited by the holy spirit hovering directly over my body and I was breathing in it's radiant white healing light. I felt like was literally purified by the light of God!!! At one point I thought I was going to explode there was so much powerful divine white light inside my body!
Real magic...

Songs with ridiculous jams and transitions are my fave, particularly with acid. If I'm tripping on mushrooms I like to listen to more gentler music and Pink Floyd is usually a go to for mushrooms. I had listened to the String Cheese Incident for a couple of years here and there and thought they were pretty neat but never thought about them as being amazing. When I saw them live at Hulaween last year, trippin my wang off on a heavy dose of L I immediately understood the massive following and uptalk I had heard about them at the festival. It was so mind blowing for me as they had no identifiable genre, it was just pure happy music spreading across multiple types of music. I was never able to see the Grateful Dead as I'm a millennial but I imagine the experience was the same for a lot of people and that's one of the reasons I love and respect the Grateful Dead so much.
But, if you're trippin on acid anytime soon then I'd highly suggest listening to this song. I wouldn't say this is their best performance of it but they get pretty fucking wild with their jam in the middle. Kyle Hollingsworth goes fucking nuts on the keys. I haven't done acid to it yet but was listening to his while on some ketamine not too long ago and although I had heard it numerous times it was hitting me so much harder.
The String Cheese Incident - Rhythm of the Road
As I was saying before, Pink Floyd is a go to for me and mushrooms and specifically the shit with a lot of old sounding psychedelic ambience is the best. The Atom Heart Mother Suite made me feel like I was being lullabied in a cradle throughout the cosmos. There is some chanting in the middle of the suite which I had forgot about when I was listening to it and it took me by so much of a surprise that I started giggling my balls off. It's long but it's a good listen for when you have the time.
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother Suite
-------------------- Do not let psychedelics allow you to think lower of people who haven't done them or don't plan on doing them because "they don't know the truth". Let your enlightenment acknowledge that everyone is equal and that no one is inferior. This mentality goes against what they are meant for. By the way, everything typed on this account is completely fictional and all for the purpose of entertainment.

In terms of complex rhythm changes and ridiculous displays of musicianship, it would be pretty hard to top this. I wouldn't be surprised if Micheal Giles' drum kit spontaneously combusted halfway through this and he just kept on playing.
Ditto for this. I don't know how it's humanly possible for a whole band to shred on jazz rhythms perfectly synchronized, but it involved a lot of acid.

I dropped 200ug LSD 3 weeks ago and at the peak I listened to "changes" -by Tupac and boy it had me in tears. I just felt it and understood it so much...it was angelic.

my favorite tripping music would have to be the native american peyote healing music. I am so grateful for this music and how it has changed my life and opened my heart.
I am also a huge fan of the grateful dead, phish and some of the newer jambands are pretty good also.

Totally.
This one is recorded in "Holophonic Sound" so with headphones it's 3D surround sound. Close your eyes and your there.
Funny, a search for "Holophonic forest" brought this up too. Still appropriate, I think.

This track is my High Mass of Psychedelics. I could really say it is somewhat sacred to me. I first heard it as a young lad of about 11. I asked my older brother, wtf kind of music is this? He told me, this, kid, this is psychedelic jazz. It has had a major impact on my life. I've been hooked ever since. It's been about 30 years, Lol.
Herbie Hancock, Rain Dance, from the album Sextant. Herbie in his alter ego as Mwandishi is my psychedelic High Priest.
... ok, and now I'm going to listen to all your other tracks

The one album that always does it for me is Bobby Callender - The Way (The First Book of Experience). A bit dated now but it still puts me right where I need to be for a peaceful trip.

Of course. Such a good song.
2pac on LSD man is something else. Its almost as if he wrote his poetry from a higher perspective so that makes total sense when youre on LSD. His mom used to do LSD a lot so im pretty sure 2pac did. Being part of the black panthers it would make sense. And we all know pac smoked tons of weed.
He even read the book "the psychedelic experience" by tim leary

Yup, I think so, too. Even though he was a part of rap culture, he clearly saw above all the thug life stuff. He was just being rewarded with money and fame for playing his role. But you can tell from some of his lyrics that he was a sort of prophet.
