Superhenge: Stonehenge to the max * 1
    #22205400 - 09/08/15 12:47 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Ancient civilizations and their building capabilities have received a bit of attention on the forum lately. For the enthusiasts, it may be interesting to hear about the discovery of 'superhenge': patterns of hundreds of formerly erect stones up to about 15ft in height placed at the Stonehenge site between 4600 and 4000 years ago. Apparently in a straight line as well as in a circle with a 1-mile diameter.

Let's hear some more ancient alien theories

I thought this was gonna be some joke about the member Stonehenge

If anything, I think stonehenge was probably a ritual/religious place.

I'm confident he'll post in this thread at some point

And yes, that's the hypothesis for now, a place for rituals. Makes sense too; as the foundations of a huge football stadium it seems a bit underdimensioned.

Just think of the world like minecraft. You got nothing but time, and theres no capitalism yet. What do you do? You build cool shit. That's what all these structures were, just people building cool shit.

Stonehenge: created by locals after first contact with extraterrestrials. They're markers, shrines, built on the locations of early [authentic] crop circles.

Wow.

I thought most of the empirical evidence pointed toward some kind ritual landscape covering a great deal of land in the area and showed signs of like thousands of people there prob doing mad wierd shit.

I am kind of super aren't I? I love those ancient places with all their mysteries. They still don't know how they built them and this happened thousands of years ago.

There are a bunch of ancient megalithic structures all over Russia up in the Ural mountains.

China has a lot of weird stuff too.

People these days built the LHC. So, it's the sort of thing people still do, it's just even cooler these days.

We don't even know how they built the pyramids. It would be a major construction job today even with giant machines. We are supposed to believe they did it all with primitive bronze tools, ropes and animal power? Maybe they had a levitating machine or two the aliens left off?

That is one thing that always amazes me about a lot of ancient megalithic structures.

Many of the huge stones would have been hard to move even with today's technology.

Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky

You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by

I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me

I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free
