Hey, im a fairly new shroomer, at least a grower. Just wondering which substrate and tek works best for B+ and Golden Teacher, any experiences or suggestions? I think im just going to use the basic PF Tek but any input would be appreciated! Thanks.

stick with the pf tek first time around, grains can be a pain in the ass untill you master them. if you want to add a little extra kick (a lot actualy) to your pf jars then find yourself some organic hulled millet and add equal amounts of the hulled millet and brf. ie, 2 parts verm,1 part water,1 part brf and 1 part organic hulled millet.

yeah the standard amount of water is plenty from my experiments. but you will need to dunk before fruiting as cakes. i always case them, using the rez effect (mixing the substrate with casing media)so moisture content is not an issue.
here's 4 half pints of millet/brf cased with straight coir.

Thanks Hanky. I am preparing my first real grow and I think after your advice I will go this route. I'm going to try this to 10 1/2 pint jars and case them. Wish me luck

PS. it must be hulled millet,as opposed to whole millet, which is still covered with the hard outer shell of the grain. it's available at health food stores,it's not cheap and i haven't found a bulk supplier yet,but when you consider the value of the return it's a good investment.

I took a regular WBS mixture, that I was using as a grain (it's mostly millet). I ground it up.
1 part ground Millet
1 part water (extra to the proper texture)
2 parts Verm.
I put 1 of Ralphsters Blue Meanie syringes to it, and 6 days later they are turning white like Michael Jackson.

Yeah how about just regular millet but ground up? Also the only BRF i can get my hands on is gluten free, which means they've removed a portion of the sugars. Is this going to be a problem, cuz i can get gluten to add to it, but im lazy! lol. Thanks for all your help too guys!

Use ground up Millet seed. BRF is inferior in every way. Just sub the BRF out for Ground Millet. I grind with a coffee grinder I got cheap at Target.

The reason u should start with this tek is that u will find the right ratio of water . Anno use less brf than the original , coz he tends to use less water . This tek can't failed , that was my friend's fisrt success !
