So i found this <snip> and read on how its smell proof and everything and it seems like the sellers hint at it being good for weed in the description. It is a little price but what do yall think? is it worth it?

100% not worth it. Get a tent. A carbon scrubber with negative air pressure in the room is the way to go. Youll know theres negative pressure when the walls of the tent get sucked slightly inward.

Would a tent mask the smell?

As long as you maintain negative pressure, and get a quality carbon filter, youll be golden. Keep the scrubber running 24/7 and put only the lights on a timer.

P.s. if you really want to play it safe, use a UPS (uninteruptable power supply). That way if there is a power outage, the scrubber will keep running while the power is out.

Yeah, I stopped though because root aphids were destroying my plants. If I could figure out how to kill them off, I would grow again.

I tried that. I even tried several pesticides. The fliers follow me around to this day. I just saw one in my car, I havent grown anything in years, but they still follow me.

Grow boxes are a joke and a huge rip off. They mainly target new growers that don't want to do the research and start quick. Not offending you at all op just trying to help. I would recommend a grow tent a 4x4 preferably. To have no smell in the tent you will need a carbon filter and an inline fan with ducting. You want to have negative pressure in the tent. Most important in my opinion is the lighting. Hps/mh are the biz. How ever new lights like ceramic metal halides are getting a closer spectrum to represent the sun. Leds are great if you want to keep the electricity bill down and keep the temps down. Also you can get them right above the canopy. You will also need a light timer to control veg and flower times. A medium choice is hydroponics and soil. I use fox farms basement mix for indoors and mendocino mix for outdoors. I add other ammendments as well. Pretty much good to go from there. You will need nutrients for the plants as well. I use max sea. Anything from the sea nutrient wise is usually great for the plants. Anyways just do some research and expect to learn from your mistakes.

Root aphids I find a lot easier to kill than spidermites.
For fugus gnats they eat at the roots so first let your soil dry out. This will suffocate the maggots in the soil. Then I just take a corner of a mosquito dunk crumble it on top of the soil. Take another corner and mix in water. I put the Sticky traps as close to the soil as possible to catch all the flying fuckers.
Spider mites are another story. They will adapt to pesticides over time. I use a three step process that almost garuntees their extinction. I always use neem oil in all my mixtures in my sprayer.
First: two caps neem oil and a drop of dish soap.
Second spray mix after three days: Ceyene peppers diced and minced and mixed with water and two caps of neem oil.
Third spray after three days: one cap of hydrogen peroxide and two caps of neem oil and the rest water.

You can also put a few drops of ionized fragrance oils on the scrubber, works like a charm.
