Placing Cakes In Fridge For 24 Hours
    #22202385 - 09/07/15 02:16 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Greetings, mycologists, cultivators and others.

I was hoping that one of you could please tell me if placing cakes, that have recently been colonised, into a gigantic jug of water and then into the **fridge** before rolling them in dry vermiculite is a good idea or not?

If not, please give a suggestion, if you can.

All input is appreciated.

Theres no need to cold shock your cakes.

Just soak/submerge them in water for 24hrs, then proceed by rolling each cake in vermiculite, being sure to coat it entirely

Hey cosmic. The fridge shouldn't be a problem. You should put half the cakes in the fridge and the other half wherever and see if it makes a difference when they pin, etc.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
