outdoor growing questions

When spring comes around I'm gonna experiment with some outdoor growing. I'll probably use moes tek. I have a few questions tho 1) How often and how much should I water the patch? 2) Will I get multiple flushes throughout the year? 3) I live in North carolina. Will the patch survive through winter? Will it survive forever if I leave some mushrooms and add nutrients to the patch? Any feedback would be great

I used Moe's tek on my first grow and it was fantastic. I didn't water the patch much because it rained a lot. I was able to get about 3 flushes out of the patch myself.

Word. Can you remember how much spawn you used and how many mushies you got out of it? Just curious Glad to hear about your success

I used about 5 1/2 pint cakes and got enough dry shrooms to fill about one of those plastic, ziploc food storage tubs. I noticed that the first flush was a bunch of regular sized shrooms, but the last flush gave me some monsters.
I bet if I had used rye grains, I'd have gotten a better yield, but I was happy for a first attempt.

I hope that your project brings you many many wonderful mushies!

Sorry I can't comment on the winter part of your question, though. I live in a state where it doesn't snow or even get cold, really.

So what happened to the patch? Did you keep checking it after winter?

Unfortunately, I lost the house I was living in, so I ended up digging up the patch and disposing of it knowing that the Sheriff's office was coming to take the house.
