I had the craziest dream of my life, a multi day intergalactic interspecies psy festival
    #22198305 - 09/06/15 05:17 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

I've never had such a vivid dream before. If you read it on my site you get to see the pictures too: http://futuretribe.space/dreams/

But I'll write it down here as well:

Intergalactic inter-species simulated psy festival and the Attendees (September 5, 2015)

This dream was a total trip! At around 22.30 I started to fall asleep behind my computer screen so I went to bed, woke up about 0.00 remembering this dream. I became slightly lucid during the dream and I think I woke myself up because I had to write it down. I’ve rarely remembered a dream so vividly, though I still only remember a fraction of what happened. Let me tell you about it.

I’m casually walking through a psychedelic festival, though not just any. Here be aliens! Like true completely out of this world aliens. And so many different species it’s amazing. It’s like there were as many different species there as there were visitors at Psy-Fi, maybe even more?

Since I was so casual about it, I must have been here for a while. I’m walking along the grounds with an alien I met. I don’t know his name, but I never remember names the first time, and find it awkward to ask again, so this isn’t out of the ordinary. For story purposes I’m going to call him Guardian Alien.

The casual feeling I was talking about was casual relative to what I would expect myself to feel if I first arrived. I was however still totally excited and flabbergasted by what I saw around me, and often startled by unexpected interactions with unexpected species.

I remember talking with Guardian about how I’ve struggled with depression in the recent past and how my mom is currently battling depression. Guardian told me he knew ways to fight it and would show me how they did it in a dream I would have that night.
[Image:The Album cover of Guardian Alien - See the World Given to a One Love Entity Complete album on Spotify. It starts out very rough, but then settles into a really nice vibe.]

Now I’m in a dream within a dream, but it’s not a dream. After dying due to a monster and respawning in the same space I realize this is a game. The space I was in was my brain, I was microscopic and could see all the neurons. There were scary creature walking along them. After experimenting for a while without any direct guidance given by Guardian I figured out how to play it. Whoever says computer games are a waste of time hasn’t played enough computer games.

Anyway, I figure out I can spread some kind of unlimited pixy dust from my hands. I need to jump and run along the neurons while I’m coating them with the dust, all the while avoiding the scary creatures. This game is super easy, the creatures look very scary, but they are pathetically slow. As I increase in skill and speed I start noticing I’m feeling happier too! I’m amazed by the realization that this mind game has an instant effect. Realizing this, I start to play around with the placement of the pixie dust. My skill increases further and I start to reach blissful states. The game was already easy, but the challenge is completely gone now, I get bored. I wake up blissful.

I meet Guardian and ask him about how the game works. He tells me that my game was so easy because I wasn’t even depressed in the slightest at the moment. It was like I was playing the tutorial level of a depression busting mind game. However there was no possibility in this game for me to experience the more challenging levels at this time, because this game actually gets easier the more you play it. Kind of like roguelike games I guess. This gets me thinking about how extremely hard this game must become if you get into a deep depression before playing it. I’m sure the monsters will be much scarier, and actively hunting me, though I presume that as I play it I will discover new skills and methods to fight them as well. However if you play this game for the first time at the depths of a depression your are going to have a really tough time learning these mechanics as you’ll probably get killed in seconds after you respawn. Scary thoughts…

Vague fragments tell me the blissful state I woke up with gave me an amazing day and I was exploring the festival without the guidance of Guardian. I don’t remember what I did anymore but it was very hedonistic. I wonder if tentacles were involved.

My next recollection is the following night. I’ve come down a bit from the day of bliss and I’m walking with Guardian again, we are walking somewhere through a forest like area, and there are a lot of us walking in a line through the forest. We come across a waterfall and the line of people is jumping down one after one and as they fall many are shouting screams of pleasure like in an amusement park. When the guy in front of me jumps, something catches him. I see him stuck within arms reach so instinctively I reach out, Guardian held me back though. As we are standing there and looking, the guy who fell is obviously in distress. In a near instant his eyes go dead, but his body keeps vibrating.

The line has stopped and is waiting, but no one seems particularly distressed. People walk to the edge of the cliff and waterfall and stare at the spectacle, some are distressed and start to walk off, others are curious and trying to find out what happened. Guardian tells me we are in a simulation, but in this case most players are aware they are in a simulation, so if they get too scared they can simply wake up, just like I sometimes manage when I realize I’m having a nightmare. The guy that got stuck is game over, and it’s obvious that only daredevils will want to try this route.

At this point the people that formed the line are mostly gathered in small bunches near by, probably deciding what to do now. Guardian and I join a group that splits off and tries to find a way around the waterfall so we can continue on the path. It’s only a short detour before we are at the base off the waterfall. Looking up I can see the body of the guy still hanging and vibrating. It’s distressing, but also fascinating. Guardian and I remain at the waterfall while most of the group walks on along the path.

After a while the shaking slows down but the body looks like skin over bones. Then bones start falling out and the skin later falls like a sheet. There is no blood, just clean bones and a clean sheet of skin, like a deflated balloon. That’s enough of that and we walk onwards. As we are walking I can’t shake the scene from my thoughts. The waterfall fell into a very shallow pool, so when the body fell down it got only partly submerged. The skin was lying on the bones, but some bones stuck out and held up the top half of the skin. I tell Guardian I thought it looked somewhat like a sailing ship and he had to laugh. He tells me if he hadn’t stopped me from reaching out I might have suffered the same fate. He tells me a colony of some type of creatures inhabited that waterfall and something caused them to attack that guy. Maybe they were just pissed off due to all the people having fun and being noisy, or maybe that guy smelt particularly tasty to them. Guardian tells me he doesn’t know what animal it is, but we could probably find out if I was very interested. I am, but I’d rather return to the path we were taking. After that experience, walking through this magical forest becomes a lot scarier, the wildlife here is not to be taken lightly. Guardian reassures me I don’t have to worry so much because even though he is only considered a teenager in his species he is already far older than I am, and has been going to these kinds of festivals for so long that he has an easy time navigating them. However he can’t guarantee nothing will happen, there are always surprises.

The next day we are walking towards the recreational pharmacy on the festival terrain. I’m very curious about what drugs these people take, but Gaurdian tells me I wouldn’t understand, and would take too long to educate me on these matters. They don’t seem to use simple chemical drugs like we do, but something more tailor made to each individual psyche. I am satisfied with that explanation and we walk on.

For some reason my brother is walking alongside us. He says he really liked the festival but couldn’t understand why people would spend so much money on drugs. I shrug my shoulders at this and continue on to the pharmacy with Gaurdian. At the pharmacy Gaurdian hands me his script and tells me where to pick it up. I go to the stall, but only see a black void. I hold the script up and in an instant a tentacle appears and snap it out of my hand, in about the same instant another tentacle shoots out from another void by my feet and holds a bag in front of me. I’m more than startled, but quickly shrug it off and laugh about it with Gaurdian.

As we are walking away from the pharmacy Gaurdian give me his card. I don’t know what it looked like anymore, but it was quite dull looking. There was no legible text on it, but when I held it in the right place between my thumb and index finger I suddenly heard a voice, like the voice of the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It says “The Attendees” and then reads something like “A group of students who gather to attend interesting classes, but secretly slack of together”...

At this point I wake up and try to process what the fuck just happened. After doing a round of recall I grab my notebook and start writing down what I can. I wrote it down in chronologically reverse order to insure the best recall of events. Seems like it worked as I’ve never been able to write a story as long as this about a dream.

So what does it mean? I don’t know, I’m still trying to process this. Whatever it means it’s pretty cool to have a trip like this when only going to sleep for such a short time. A free psy festival in the space of a few hours!

After finishing my notes I did as I did in the previous dreamlog and went onto Google images to type things I saw, then I look at the results and see if anything sticks out. Guardian Alien definitely does! I swear I never heard of these guys before, but I’m digging it.

Wouldn’t you have a hard time sleeping after this? I know I’m not getting enough rest, I hope I don’t spin out of control again… We will just have to wait and see, ride it out. Last time I was like this was 10 years ago, and I hope I’ve become wise enough in the mean time to see this through without going too crazy.

Sounds like a pretty crazy awesome dream. I basically get to see stuff that other people write about in my dreams, its just a matter of having enough awareness and presence of mind to pick up on it and notice when its happening. I think I saw your man with the withered face. I felt the acceptance of the situation. It was weird, when I see like this I don't have any sort of body or form. Like I've failed to do a lucid reality check and just go along with whats already been decided. I really wish sometimes I could open up to other people in my dreams better. I dream some awesome stuff sometimes, but others its like my soul has gone to sleep and I've got the awareness of an insect. Sometimes I dream im a spider just covering my room in cobwebs. Being human is a blessing, but it has given my soul so many challenges.

Aliens in dreams means that you are accessing state of super conscious and are connecting with other dimensional realms. See if you can train your awareness more while dreaming. I sometimes think that when i'm with other people in a dream, and they are acting normal its like we are all souls but still asleep to our true powers. Imagine if everyone on earth became lucid dreamers and we all worked together to create an amazing love filled world. I think that's what the other alien places have done, and why its such a privilege to be able to visit such realms. Keep up the good dreaming!

The world will actually be like that one day if everything goes right. Isn't it nice? Lol

Thanks for the interesting sentiment!

The last few nights I've been having dreams, but none of this caliber, and not awesome enough to force me to awake and write it down as far as I'm aware. Maybe it was all due to the festival, the drugs, the sleep deprivation, and temporary lull in the standard medication. At least it didn't spin out of control this time, functioning across all levels, and sleep is nearly back to normal.

That's really cool, would love a movie theater in my dreams. Are you good at dream recall? Do you keep a journal?

Do you ever become lucid in your dreams? Becoming lucid can be a real trip, I love flying and bounding, also destroying stuff

Taking drugs in dreams also happens sometimes, but I'm never aware which they are. Often I'll just put my hand in a jar and munch down on an assortment of pills

I can't wait to hit the sack now.

Sounds like utopia.
