i really would like to get some infos on this. please help me outta here. for example, is it possible to freeze fully colonized cakes which are still in the jar for 5 weeks and then use them??

my dawg is facing the same problem.......i was told to put the jars in the fridge......if its already pinning.....birth it....take off pins....put back in jar and put back in fridge.....as far as the cakes that already had the 1st flush.....i dont really know :biggrin:

aaah, now tell me:
how cold exactly was it in the fridge? i mean, is normal fridge temp okay and keeps them from pinning? for five weeks?? and did you (or your dog, for that matter) leave the cakes in the jars? and would freezing temps hurt the mycel? i just can't really believe that normal fridge temps would keep them from pinning...and it would be quite a mess after five weeks...eeah, i really would like to see some comments about this...

totally concerned. and all.

I say extract the active drugs out of the cakes then chuck them. you can do this bye:

1. Sliceing and mashind them up into a pot
2. Adding Very high proof alcohal like 151 or even

well, actually...i was hoping i could carry on with the same culture after holidays...i would hate to just extract the stuff from the cake which could have produced alot of grams of precious shrooms.
hmm... i might just make a spore.syringe and start over....hmm...
