First Grow Success, and Questions for Bettering My Setup.

So I started with 5 BRF jars, the incorrect size, but jars none the less. The first week or so in the SGFC was rough, not enough perlite, too hot of a room, and not enough FAE. Changed their location and the FC, I ended up yielding 43g wet from 3 cakes of Golden Teacher, wife and I split them dried last night, and it was amazing. But that is a for a different post.
I've now got the original 3 cakes back in for a second flush and am running a first flush on another set of 6 jars, mostly correct ones. 3 of the jars were starting to pin/fruit in the jar, and are doing great, altho I am still getting some "fuzzy feet" on the base of the fruits. But the other cakes are showing no signs of pinning and the ones that are producing fruits are doing so in only a couple of spots. I am trying to figure out what it is that I am missing. Or if this might just be the luck of the draw in the learning process. Patience is not the greatest of my virtues.
I think my SGFC is pretty solid, there are holes all around, its elevated, and in an open room. I think my culprit may be temperature, I'm in TX and its hot right now, I can get the house to 75-78 when we are home, but I up it to 80 when not home. On top of that I've read that its not good to have a ceiling fan or the AC vent open in the room because of it drying the cakes out. Where should I look to get a little more efficient, or am I just over thinking things as an newbie.

Its hard to see the wholes in the perlite layer, but after double checking them, the holes there are more consistent than the wholes above.

They do look a little dry, and you could use a few more holes. How are you misting and how often? You should mist directly on them until they glisten when they start looking dry, at least a couple times a day.

I'm a noob myself, but I like to spread my cakes out a little more so there's more airflow in between them. If you bunch them all together the currents won't get in between the cakes as well. This also puts all of your foil very close together, blocking airflow through the perlite in the center of your chamber.
Like I said, I'm still towards the beginning of the learning curve, but improving my airflow has made my cakes do noticeably better.
