Fucking surreal, is what.

Seen from outside America, it is now impossible to tell the difference between this Presidential campaign and the kind of madness that one might hallucinate on salvia. It just simply is not believable. Trump and Hillary are two of the worst human beings I could even imagine. They're both utterly soulless.

But odds are, one of them will soon be President.

Trump has lots of heart and his policies would really benefit the working class. Let me guess you think millions of third world immigrants flooding into a country will somehow improve it.

No, millions of third world immigrants coming to a country is almost guaranteed to make the standard of living lower.

I think Trump is dangerously insane, but as long as its Trump vs. Sanders I will be immensely entertained by either winner.

I fail to see how Trump arguing for better trade deals for the United States and deporting illegal immigrants makes you think he is insane. Maybe if you actually looked and listened to his speeches instead of biased media outlets your opinion would change.

No, they do it with ease. This is because all Western countries apart from the USA have a level of trust that Americans have much trouble understanding. The average American is basically a clinical narcissist by the standards of just about every other culture on Earth.

I've been basically everywhere in the West. Americans treat each other like dogshit. There is so much more solidarity and trust in every other Western nation that America is like a war zone in comparison.

I'm really curious to know how my taxes will go up if Sanders wins. Not that I care about my taxes going up, because more taxes just means more services. But this is frankly a bizarre assertion and I wonder how you can justify it.

I hate to say it but this is true. Most americans don't give a fuck about anyone except there own immediate family and maybe a few friends. Americans are some of the most isolated people on earth as well the concept of community is looked upon with suspicion.

Translation: Americans don't like to support lazy people, them bastards!

This is true and I don't like the idea of helping lazy bums who game the system. However victor is right about the rampant narcissism and lack of community in the us.

It's selfish to want to keep what I've earned? But not for people to demand I give it to them???

You are basically everything that's wrong with America. You will never, ever realise this though. So the others will have to drag you screaming into the 21st century.

While I agree with you about lack of community and narcissism. Socialist style redistribution of wealth is not the answer.

Redistribution of wealth is inevitable if you decrease the level of narcissism in a society. The less narcissistic people are, the less happy they will feel from being wealthier than other people around them.

Many wealthy people earn their money due to the sheer joy of the work they do. It has nothing to do with feeling superior. While some are snobbish and elitist others are not. In any case if you remove the incentive for them to accumulate wealth society will suffer in the long haul.

How does society benefit from people hoarding wealth now?

The wealth is earned by providing a service to the public. Even the poor in america have cars air conditioning and televisions. A hundred years ago even a king could not have purchased such items. So the lower echelons benefit from the innovation. I aspire to be wealthy one day and run my own business. I'm not doing it because I want to lord it over people I am doing it because I have a unique idea and I will provide a service to the market. Take that away and you have stagnation. I get were you your coming from but people need to learn for themselves the right thing to do not be forced to do it through government edicts it defeats the purpose.

I'm not talking about government edicts. I'm saying that as the level of narcissism in American society inevitably decreases with the decline and death of the baby boomers, people will naturally be more compassionate and charitable. This will lead to them voting to give more of their own money away in the form of higher taxes.

NO ONE wants to prevent anyone from making a lot of money.  The idea is that if you ever get filthy rich (and I hope you do), you need to pay a little more taxes.  You'll still get to be filthy rich.

Oh well thats totally different. As long as market capitalism is still in place I'd be fine with paying a reasonable tax rate. Going all soviet russia though I think would be a bad idea and I see alot of leftists going down that road which makes me leery.

No one that I'm aware of on the political forum wants communism, yet most of the conservatives here like to make believe that we do.

Well maybe not on this board but in general. If Bernie wins it could be slippery slope toward communism.

Trump gets stuff done the politicians are all talk no action. So yea maybe Rubio scored a nice soundbite but he is impotent when it comes to governing. Trump would make a fantastic ruler.

anti-establisment my ass.

I also read someone that a financial analyst had crunched the numbers, and if he would've just put the million dollar loan his dad gave him into an index fund, he'd be worth significantly more (not to mention staying out of bankruptcy 4 times). Intelligent businessman my ass.

Yeah, anybody can be a Monday morning quarterback when it comes to investments, are any of these quarterbacks billionaires or just whiny bitches?

the republican party can blame themselves for attacking their own candidates.

As far as Trump getting the nod, can you imagine what the MSM has stored up for him>?  they are going to rip him a new asshole.

And, considering he doesn;'t debate worth a fuck, it;s looking like we get the Hero Of Bosnia as the next pres. :awedisgust:

Trump has lots of support not to mention Hilary Clinton getting indited by the FBI would ruin her campaign. Trumps path to the white house is steady and unshakable I'm sorry your little socialist won't be president but you know theres always 2020.
