Hey everyone, starting a new gro log! It's my first. I'm on a strict budget! Just bought some jars! Gotta gather things to make an incubator. It may take me some time so suggestions are very much appreciated. Doing b+ cubes!

What are your intentions with an incubator?

Was thinking that an incubator would help with the inoculation and mycelium growth!

Look up Tub in Tub incubator.
Those a very popular for a reason. Cheap and easily to build and helps you maintain a constant temp around 75-80F which will help colonization happen much much faster.
There's a lot of guides online which show you how to construct one.

a tub in tub incubator is a huge waste of time and to call them popular is silly.
that method is very outdated. incubation speeds up colonization by like a day, tops. so its a huge waste of time and money, to create what is essentially a giant contaminate magnet.
a big bucket of freestanding water that doesn't get changed for weeks on end? perfect thing for a sterile grow environment!
if you have to heat your mushrooms, you heat the room, not the mushrooms. you can use an oil heater for best results.

Any room whose temperature is comfortable for you is fine for cultivating mushrooms. No special equipment needed whatsoever. If you are going to buy a tub, get a BIG clear one and make a still air box (SAB). Don't waste your time and/or money making an "incubator."

Wow everybody, thanx for the great info and quick responses! I guess since I can skip the incubator I should just go ahead and order some rye grains then! Any type in particular I should be looking for?
Also looking for suggestions on a real good casing layer tek! Doing a mono tub gro!

Instead of ordering rye berries online you could just go to a feed supply and get a 50 pound bag of whole oats for 15-20$
