Alright guys, heres some of the best shots and mushrooms I was able to get yesterday. By far, this was the best hunting day of my life, finding over 100 different specimens, chants being my first, as well as finding gymnopilus on cypress and palm boots! As the title states, here are the day's best IMO. There are much more for another time and thread.
1 Gymnopilus on cypress, quite old and waterlogged.

2 Gymnopilus on pine (?)

3 Gymnopilus on palm boot. Penetrans?? I think the thing is growing on is called a boot, let me know otherwise.

4 Lycoperdon?

5 Cantherellus!!!! Fruiting by the hundreds in rich soil.

6 Insane boletus? Its like a crystal ball.

7 Trametes?

8 Egged Amanita

9 Gymnopilus on pine limb

10 Lactarius indigo

11 These were growing around the chanterelles.. a different cantharellus maybe?

12 Gigantis Boleticus

13 Insane puffball.. One of my best shots ever

14 Maybe the same, maybe not

15 Ganoderma?

BONUS FOOTAGE N HABITATS!
Cutie moth

Swamp flora, smelled amazing

Cypress

Lake shot

Who who

Old ass tree

Nice pictures. Looks like a great day.
#4 I believe your lycoperdon is a Scleroderma sp. #5 looks delicious #6 this bolete may be a leccinum sp. #7 we'd need to see the underside, but I think it is a Stereum sp. #13 and #14 are both Lycoperdon perlatum. 14 are older and have already "puffed"

1 - 2) Maybe something like Gymnopilus lepidotus 3) Could be Gymnopilus palmicola since it is on palm, but maybe G. lepidotus is more likely. 4) Scleroderma areolatum 5) Cantharellus 6) green boletes are very rare, I wonder if it is Leccinum or Tylopilus. Reminds me a little bit of Austroboletus neotropicalis. 7) Trichaptum biforme 8) Amanita section Amidella

Thanks man! I heard the owl close by so I investigated and found him in the trees. He actually took off at first but I kept at it and chased him, shooting pics like wild. I'm happy I got what I did though, little fucker was fast and on the move. It felt like pokemon snap all over again lmao.

1) Strobilomyces 2) It's a bolete, but it's not Boletus. Not sure if it is edible. Maybe close to http://www.mushroomexpert.com/boletus_sensibilis.html 3) Agaricus 4) Leucocoprinus, maybe Leucocoprinus fragilissimus. 6) Gymnopus 9) Xerocomus 10) Tylopilus 11) Inocephalus 13) Tylopilus 14) Lentinus crinitus 16) Maybe Marasmius 17) Leucoagaricus 18) Leucocoprinus

Ha....Pokemon Snap. I saw a woodpecker the other day and couldn't get a good shot. I am using a phone camera though. Anyways, your owl shot is fantastic. You should do a little editing on it and repost it on this thread. I used to have photoshop......
