Strain / Bulk question

Okay i just went out and bought WBS, 1 Pint jars, and polyfill to make spwan Jars for a bulk grow using coir substrate in a monotub.
Currently, i have 3 Costa Rican spore syringes, however, ive only Seen bad experiences with small pinsets associated with this strain.
Im moving to this tek cause it seems more effective tham pf tek, and i want bulk. Pf cakes are fun but havent yielded much for me.
Should i noc up some jars within the next 48 hours, or wait for a More reputable strain for my first bulk? Id hate to spend all the effort, time, And substrate for a yield no better than some pf cakes.
Any one grown bulk costa rican? Anyone got any advice at all?

im not thinking of anyone or any thread or any grow in particular, but i'd venture to guess there are several great tubs with that variety. its not a weird one (that i know about at least).
id start the jars. and i'd order another syringe to boot. and i'd grab qt jars if u can fit em in PC. and if not, i'd order a presto 23 qt, or an AA if u ballin like that.
do you work in an SAB for best results.

WBS is okay but I personally prefer oats/rye If you're using 1pint jars for a bulk grow you gotta think bigger like quart jars because it's just more efficient/less work.
I use polyfill on quarts and Micropore for pints.
"Cubes are Cubes" is the phrase I believe, don't worry about strains it's more of personal preference
I've never used coir alone always with verm and gypsum but if you try it I wish you luck

From what I've heard, strains tend to be a bit more picky about how well they work on PF than they are for bulk-grain grows. Not a popular strain afaik, so it might still be a bit more eratic and on the wild side. Be sure to clone a nice fruit or cluster, that's your best bet for consistency.
I'd just do the grow, take some prints, and trade them for something else if it doesn't turn out so hot.
Could also be improper misting that resulted in poor pinsets in the past. Dunno what your experience level is.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

Thanks for the advice guys. I went ahead and cleaned my WBS and got it soaking.
I do happen to own the 23 qt presto, but couldnt find qt jars at walmart. Would 8 successfully Colonized 1 pint WBS spawn jars be enough for a mono? I figure thats 4 qts of myc i could spawn to 8 qts of pasturized Verm/coir.

Yes, that would be a 1:2 spawn/sub ratio.
So 8 pint jars.

Youre wasting your time by "cleaning" your wbs. Just add water and let it soak for 12 hours or so.

Not really a waste of time. Most people who use WBS will clean rinse it before soaking. Just depends how dirty your seed is and personal preference. Not necessary to clean. Most don't find it a waste of time.
Hopefully you'll get those jars PC'ing a little later tonight and do some tomorrow.

I find rinsing WBS to be a complete waste of time and never do and recommend others do not rinse it.
