 Dunk and Roll

My friend has been poking around shroomery in search of the dunk and roll technique, and so far no luck.. Although he has a rough idea of what it is, he would grealty appreciate some info on how to do it

THE FOLLOWING WAS NOT CREATED BY ME, IT WAS JUST A TRANSFER OF INFORMATION I FOUND BROWSING THIS FORUM-
The Dunk and Roll Method:
1. Birth your fully colonised cake into a zip-lock bag then add water until
cake is fully submerged.
2. Place in fridge for 24 hours.
3. Remove cake and roll in clean vermiculite.*
4. Fill a shallow lid with dry vermiculite and spray with water till nice
and damp.
5. Place cake on vermiculite.
6. Add dry vermiculite to the top of the cake and mist the entire cake,
vermiculite and all.
7. Place in terrarium and wait eight days on average for pins.
* To sterilize vermiculite put in microwave safe container
(spread out evenly) for ten minutes, then stir and use. Also make sure
to wet the vermiculite to target moisture before microwaving.

This is the best one I could find. Should be helpful.
I've also heard of people not even sterilizing the vermiculite before rolling the cake in it.
Also you don't have to use a ziploc bag. You just have to submerge the cakes in water in a cooler place (not necessary, just helps induce pinning).

Instead of birthing into a ziplock baggie and filling that with water, couldn't you just scrape the verm off the top of the colonized cake, fill the jar up with water, put the lid back on, and stick it in the fridge for 24 hours?

If i belive correctly, the dunk came from Hippie3 and the roll came from Magash! And i dont see you giving them credit! I think he was just trying to help someone out!

my issue was that he cut n pasted directly from one of my old posts,
then changed a few words and presented it as his own advice.

When you write a research report, it is just a compilation of information from various resources put into your own words. However, if someone was to copy a resource word for word, that is plagiarism. This situation is not much different. Hanky has a right to be annoyed if his post was copied and pasted without giving him credit. I am assuming the disclaimer was not originally there (people should not abuse the "Mark as Edited?" feature), but even now Hanky is not credited.
That does not justify 3 one shroom ratings over a trivial incident, though  This situation could be rectified by everyone apologizing and the bad ratings deleted

Just an FYI, I didn't change a single word from that tek. I did copy and paste, not realizing someone would get upset over a transfer of information. I didn't publish it.

The Dunk tek can be used during birthing, between flushes, and even when you think the cake is exhausted. It may have nutrients left to produce another flush, just not enough juice.
You'd want to dunk for 12 hours between flushes, and 24 during birthing and for an exhausted cake.
As for the roll, I only have heard of it being done during birthing.

Can you take a fully colonized cake out of a jar and roll it in sterilzed vermiculite to get greater yields? If so, do you just simply roll it in the vermiculite, or do you still need to put it in a ziplock baggie, dunk it, then put it in the frige first?

Can you? sure, but your yields won't increase because of it.
Dunking it provides the water the fruits need - that will help yields. Rolling it helps keep that moisture in.
