growing psilocybe mushrooms on a log/tree
    #22192704 - 09/05/15 01:28 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

So I know you can use mycelium covered mushroom plugs to inoculate logs. It works with woodlovers like shiitake but would it work with psilocybe woodlovers? And could I use this method to inoculate a living oak?

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, “What road do I take?”

The cat asked, “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know,” Alice answered.

“Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?”

They're dung-lovers so.. I'm thinking there are other things that would colonize wood far more quickly than cubes.

Yeah I don't think you could grow on a log with cubes but there are other psilocybe mushrooms like cyanescens. I wonder if it could work with those
