Possible Semilanceata
    #22191776 - 09/05/15 08:42 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Habitat:
UK, 18deg C, early september, around horse (or other) dung in grassy fields thick with shrubs. Found in clearings growing out of grass

Gills:
Chocolately. Some were white or cream but I threw those away

Stem:
Thin, hollow, about 6cm

Cap:
0.5 to 3cm. Tan, smooth or wrinkly, almost orangey. Some have faint nipples

Spore print color:
Black

Bruising:
None

Other information:
No scent. Matches one description I had perfectly but couldn't match another source. I'd be grateful for input. It's harder than I first thought, this is my 3rd hunt!

But too late to say print them but some of these are identical to my natural cinctulus, a lot of the time you will find cinctulus mixed in with foes, the normal one's most people have ain't as common here as some places in the world, all of ours appear to look just like foes, it's pretty weird to be honest, next time spore print them all and keep collecting the one's with jet black prints.

I can see 2-3 likely candidates here just going off what i've printed this week.

I give you the choice of 2 pills.

With each containing one of the following:
Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk?
Didn't think so.

This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

None of those are particularly poisonous, right? Panaeolus may contain psilocybin. Agreed on semiglobata - some had pale spores (young) and possibly had white edges on gills. I will print all next time. None grew on the dung.

Thanks for the input
