Itty bitty container gardening!!!

So this is my tiny container garden this year... It's pretty pathetic compared to my last three years... *sigh* This year I was extremely lazy and decided to buy both tomato plants and peppers instead of just grow from seeds. But I still love em.

Rosemary that I'm pretty proud of. I usually kill them all

Rosemary and Citronella

Peppers

Raspberry Splash I picked up at a botanical garden

Mallowflower that I finally cut majority of bitten leaves off and took all the flower pouches off of

I'm so excited all those little buds going to bloom!!!
I wish I did more with my tiny garden this year but what can ya do.
Now post yours!!!

Not much in the containers. Mainly cut grass when my landlord cuts the grass. The backyard has some weedy lawn though haha. I'm not going to pick the weeds too much. I don't mind them. If I had I wouldn't have ended up with those mallow flowers. Don't know how those ended up there in the corner.
Thank tho!!

I'm moving to a place where I will finally have space for some container gardening, I'm really stoked about that. Fun fact, where I live, like the top 3 landscaping plants used by municipalities are Rosemary, Citronella, and Lavender. Huge stands of it everywhere.
How cold do your winters get? If you treat your peppers right you can keep em going from one year to the next, like a perennial shrub.

I'm in va so it's a hit or miss with snow but can get pretty cold.
I'm just gonna start them from seed next year too though. As with the tomatoes too. I didn't this year so they're really tall but usually when I do it from seeds they bush out. Plus they haven't produced alot of veggies either so I'm a bit disappointed. My tomatoes last few years got so big I had to put a huge cage around them haha. They were in the same containers. The basil were from seed and I've already trimmed them 4 times and they're pretty much healthier than the tomatoes.
Next year too my landlord said I can make boxes in the backyard so I'm thinking about it. I wish I had my own yard tho. It'd be a jungle. Haha I wish I had lavender!!! This year we had honey suckle EVERYWHERE. I kept my windows down bc on my way to and from work they were along the roads the whole way. Smelled amazing.
Glad you get to have a garden, even if it's container!! Do you know what you're going to put in em?

Definitely peppers. And a whole range of herbs, sage, basil, Rosemary. Tomatoes. I really want to get a passion fruit going as well. And as always some interesting cacti and if I have space morning glories.
If u want a cheap solution for raised beds, go looking for old pallets, they can be broken down and repurposed real easily. But make sure to get the untreated ones so they don't leach nasty crap into your crop.
