Started off at new mini patch i found this year and was a bit sad it was still pinning after a week of being untouched, as i was gettin ready to leave i turned around and right behind me was some beautiful meaty matures!

Then stopped at the very fruitful front yard patch, didnt take any pics sept of this very interesting cyan that seems that the myco bunched up at the bottom of the stem.. I dont really know you guys tell me your thought on it!

Stopped at a local park where i found my first patch at few years back, didnt take much pics of this patch either due to theres not much to photograph cause everyone has raided that place but i have a few hidden spots within. Heres a nice lil clump..

And last from yesterday, i was walkin home and checked a public spot i had just gone to earlier that day just to make sure i didnt miss anything. To my suprise there was a very beautiful meaty mature im mulch across from the original patch at that spot!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but is that sclerotia formed on that cyanescens? If true I had no idea that cyanescens could produce it

I don't think its sclerotia, just looks like a gnarly stem to me.

Mistake me if I'm wrong.. but I think I have azures here.. First finds!!
I think I've been mistaking these for cyans or allenii the entire season but I think I've finally caught on that they are Azurescens
But I have found Ps. Allenii, Ps. Azure and Ps. Cyan all in the same location.. all growing pretty close to each other I'm not sure if that's normal but I'm happy!

And here is what I have I think is 2 Ps. Azurescens in the middle and 2 Allenii on the outside

Some habitat shots and pictures of Allenii/Azures in the ground

Cyans and azures are both wood lovers and grass lovers. They'll eat pretty much anything with lignin.

Well damn Portland, It's starting to look like Seattle down here. I saw thousands of pins on Saturday in just a few hours, in just a few blocks. A lot of these were buried under a few inches of leaves that got blown away in the wind, that's why they're so tall with little heads.

Here are some pins with my favorite indicator species, Leratiomyces ceres

Yet more pins.

As always, if you're hunting in an urban environment don't just plunge your hands into the bushes. There are hazards everywhere.

Onto the next spot. I found some great matures out here and enjoyed the view of the Willamette River over the bluffs.

No such luck here in Nor Cal. :/ Only been able to make it out like 5 times. This is my first year, so I don't have any established hunts and I've been going at it by myself with my limited knowledge. I wish CA wasn't lame about prints, I'd love to try my hand at "Studying". Been reading tons though and enjoying all of y'alls finds. I went to the park yesterday and saw that EVERY mushroom along the path had been pulled up. All non active of course and even some edibles. So many destroyed that it made me wonder if it could have been a park ranger or something other than just kids. I don't know man.... I just want some cyans.

I vacation to Washington now. It's only another hour but you're still far. You should be cleaning up over there, no?
And Gak242, if people are doing that in your area, it's time to move areas. You'll never find a thing. People will be hauling actives out, others will pick everything, and this is why we can't have nice chill areas in which to hunt unmolested.

Glad to hear it! the patches I've been frequenting seem to be slowing down or have been mangled by amateurs. Still have one going strong though!

Just in case you're on here, whoever is ripping up a bunch of pins in North Portland, you took a fair amount of Leratiomyces ceres with you as well. Might want to sort that out.
