I didn't think humans could get heart worms? Wouldn't doubt dude caught worms though all hunters shud be extra cautious of animal feces and dead critter germs.

Beaverton today. I love the variety of cyans depending on where they grow.

The coast a couple weeks ago.

Nathan, those little Beaverton ones you found are all I've run into in my hunting so far. Found a few big ones but not in numbers like you see up there ^^^^^^. Most were in wetland restoration type areas, wood chips grow over with grass and other plants. Do they get bigger in later flushes maybe?

Went to my old spot from last year and things are finally popping up! However these cyans were covered up in a big pile of leaves due to (park and rec. cleaning the area up) They started forming curved stems to try to get out of the leaves.

I tend to see the biggest mushrooms from the first flush and/or early season. The second/third flushes we saw today are mostly small to medium mushrooms. As the season progresses the sparse mycelium networks awaken and fruit, I start seeing small sporadic patches everywhere.
habitat restoration areas are amazing for cyans, the burlap sacks underneath the woodchips provide ideal environment for colonization i believe.

Have any of you noticed the macroscopy(im still loose on my terminology) of the mushrooms change from flush to flush? For ex: one flush has thinner stems than the next?
