Heh, that's probably constructive trafficking in some jurisdictions.

Picture of phatty cyan cluster

More pictures please!
just curious, what sort of habitat was this in? public area or wooded, etc.
All season long I have been checking a couple of well known spots and haven't found any nice mature clusters like this, just tons of pins and some smaller "near matures" I harvested. As the season approaches its final weeks I am seeking some new ideas/inspiration for where to hunt.

@ dirty hippy: Most likely you are not seeing any big mature clusters because you are hunting in areas that others pick, thus diminishing the chances of being in an area that has not been touched by another hunter. Expand the areas you hunt in, explore new habitat, think of new areas you could have overlooked, ect. Google earth can be your most useful tool other than actually visiting areas. PM me if you have any questions on how to properly use g-earth to find mulch or good habitat for cyanescens.

Feels like those pics are not in line with this community. Kinda gives us a bad look. I feel like we are here to learn and experience the fruit as naturally and free as posible. I appreciate the fact you are spreading the love but why destroy such a beautiful thing And package them like drugs.
I feel like those pics could have negative repercussions for this site.
Don't get me wrong I love mushrooms and everyone should have them, but it looks like big pharma up in here. Sorry to offend if your preferred method of ingestion is plugging.

I seem to see wood chips so public or private, wooded or not (the leaf fall and needles suggest at least two trees) it appears landscaped.
Your solution will probably be to check a lot more than a couple places and try to make them less well known.

Dunno, but I was on my way out of a public park yesterday and was stopped at a light. I was looking around for street signs and my peripherals caught something out of the ordinary. Underneath someone's freshly mulched Japanese Maple was a huge patch. If I could've, I would've hopped out and grab them.
The mulch looked "too good"; like, someone's home project. The park used to have lots of patches and now have none. I wouldn't be surprised if that person found out how to spawn to their own lawn. I used to mulch for a landscaping company when I was a child, this stuff isn't even a season old. Beautiful to observe though! I hope they enjoy them.

"Well known spots" = "haven't found matures"
Lucky to have even found pins, it's all about timing.
Look for publicly wooded areas, wet lands and forest reclamation zones.
And for the sake of not blabbing here's some cool pics from today's neighbor hood walk

Saw a group of mushy didn't realize there was cyan pins in there too until closer inspection.
Then for some reason my phone glitched during first pic and made a strange effect...

Was driving on a busy road, and caught these out of the corner of my eye while going roughly 40 MPH. Too busy of an area to gather any at that moment, so hopefully still there when I return tonight. Lots of pins, and mature fruits ready for nom nom...

I'm simply displaying the versatility of the fungus. Any negative repurcussions would develop from whiny posts like yours. By deploying sustainable foraging techniques, and preserving the dried material in hermetically-sealed capsules to aid against degradation my methods are far from destructive. IMO @hunterhunter your rhetoric is quite bitchy. Ps. cyanescens are very common. Its not like I'm collecting dozens of ghost orchids...

I like your posts
DO you fill each capsule individually, seems like a lotta work. But also very convenient for dosing

I just put some supplements in 00 caps with a 24 count press. Only took me maybe 20 minutes to press 240 caps. If you do it enough it goes by quick. I'll be doing the same if I find any actives this year. It's just too easy to homogenize it, cap it, and throw it in a vitamin bottle.
(Sorry for the OT, but it's helpful information for people who don't want gallon bags of mushrooms sitting around.)
