Sorry dude make an id thread...
And make way for azzies, there's no room left on the table!

My buddy I taught to hunt last year, I sent him to long beach the weekend for azzies, gave him all the details he'd need, he met another hunter that was generous and Just showed him a spot. So he went back all day today.
Sometimes it's skill sometimes it's luck. Noob FTW!

I'm a noob to PNW and finally found my first active after six sojourns and over 30+ miles hunting... I can find a morel in grey leaves in MN but can't find a big brown splotch in dune grass.
But I'm happy! It might just be one..
..my first one!
Finally got it!!!

Decided to hunt seattle today. I watched a guy sneaking nervously outa the bushes with a decent amount in his bag by the looks of it. Seconds later 2 guys come up straight through the wood bioz very obvious. Totally bumbed. Sucks I know. However you should not give up as easily.
Just around the corner and I covered the pin sets so keep looking.

Also I'm loving the Amanitas over here.

And shit mole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jelly

Do they ever pop like that in Central Willamette valley?
I think I know the obvious answer is obvious.

After WEEKS of searching and coming up empty. After cyan spot after cyan spot (that I have hunted for years) has consistently let me down this year.
I decided (after my wife's urging and my whining that its to warm!) to try our coast for azzies. 1.5 hours crawling around like a rodent and feeling like a tick on a dogs ass, pays off with a lowly 10 azzies. BUT I'M ON THE BOARD GODDAMMIT!
GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY REPRESENTING!

Seen lotsa myc though. Gonna be bumper in a couple weeks!

Found a new patch today that has decidedly different morphology. Didn't have my camera with me but I plan to go back and collect samples and more photos tomorrow. I'm very curious as to why their appearance differs so much from the usual cyan beauty.

Very nice! I may leave for PDX after this phone call. I stopped there yesterday for about half an hour to let traffic finish in the AM. Even just walking about I could see how drastically different it is there now than Salem. This place is like the Hartford (CT) of Oregon. You certainly do have much better parks and more well-tended and cared for landscaping.

I think I speak for most of us when I say I prefer habitat shots over haul shots any day. Unless it's a haul of epic proportions. That's always fun to drool over.

Using your pooch to help you find em eh? Cheater cheater pumpkin eater
Some people with whom I've spoken to have said their dog is sometimes better than their well trained eye. One user has been doing it years and said it's the first time taking his dog and he found more than the owner did.
Thank you for the pictures that's awesome.
