seattle capitol hill few weeks ago. left these pins took the one mature guy, came back and someone else got the cluster lol lucky them
Most of my spots found late last season werent doing much of anything yet as of a few weeks ago. Ill be back in the sound real soon and hope to put up some cool pics for everyone. Gonna be spore bombing everywhere im picking. tacoma to marysville
Last year me and few friends stumbled across a nice lil patch in a rich neighborhood. so naturally we start picking.. my buddies had actually never picked b4 lol.. they were scared and concerned about tresspassing. i was concerned about leaving the nice fruits behind lol. theyn talked me into knocking on a door that said no solicting on it... knew we shoudnt do that or any of what they thought lol.. we ended up having the neighbor come flailing over into the driveway taking our pictures saying "u guys cant just be picking mushrooms in peoples yards!.." blah blah
This is right as i spot a huge epic id say 20 mushroom cluster of cys im just drooling as she wastes her breath. sadly i leave the cluster... i then interject and tell her look lady we arent even doing anything wrong. she says ur right im not gonnna report u guys for tresspassing. cause of course thats all she had at best and not even that lol. she then actaully started to get friendly and embarrassed that she was wearing her sweats this older lady lol. then told us we just missed the mushroom meet in seattle and told us to go try forest park lol. this was all after we made it clear we took the mushrooms seriously.
I went back and they had raked out the patch last year, ass holes lol. this is why u go at night like a ninja or super early am. had we never knocked on the door it might not ever have gotten raked up poor things.
this year i shall return, already did actually lol it was bone dry up in everett tho few wekks ago.
Best of luck to everyone

Hey - does anyone know if there have been ANY cyan finds in the central valley areas away from the coast? I keep killing it at the coast but nothing inland, though the recent rains are making me hopeful... anyone???

In my experience it should be popping within the next couple weeks. When I looked at my posts for the last two seasons my area wasn't producing until the first week of november

It takes me a couple of big ones to get going. Just here to share a good day out, not debate about what happens to mushrooms after people pick them. That's their own business.

I'm not judging anyone, just making an observation. They are your mushrooms and if you want to pick them all and throw them away it is none of my business.

Good thing for me you're not a mod.
Honestly I don't see what I said as being such big deal. There's nothing wrong with people who pick for non personal use, one of my best friends does it.
Nice find Harry! Good to see you around again.

Hunting for profit doesn't make sense to me. Why not just find a secluded spot and try cultivating? I haven't sold a thing this season, just given them away. It would be nice to be compensated for the gas money I have spent though.....which is quite a bit.
I found out today that my mega patch was raped today. It stings just a little bit more to know that the person who raped it is a guy who saw me picking....he didn't earn the spot or say anything to me. He was with his kids so I assumed he wasn't going to pick. That is a lesson learned the hard way. Assume that anybody will pick your patch after seeing you. Except for really old people....also most women seem to be uninterested....but not all.

I do find myself thinking about this with certain posters haha, though im always happy with a habitat shot, mushrooms on paper are boring, and ground mushrooms are worse to look at... no offense anyone.

None taken. My camera is on the fritz and habitat shots are nearly impossible for me to get, hence the lack of them this year. I put up the post because some people do like to see a big pile, and because I was excited about my day out.
