So yesterday was a fun day of hunting! This rain has definetly made a HUGE impact! Started the day off at a very fruitful patch from last year..
Then headed over to a old spot that I figured out I was sharing with a not so knowledgeable fungi picker, so I didnt expect much. But to my suprise the patch is replenishing itself and its looking like its going to be some big mats again! Only got a pic of one river of pins, there are about 5 of the same looking river of pins.

Found this lone growing through a hole at the bottom of a glass recycling bin..

Last, I was walking to a buddys house when I thought I saw a wavy cap and when i shined the light it looked like purple spores under the gills, so i jumped up took some pics, harvested and dipped out cause it was a very public road!

Ha ha. No, the pattern is not-cyan, cyan, not-cyan, cyan.
Yeah, I know about not picking immatures, but I've left hundreds of mature cyans rot in the ground already this season, so I'm not gonna feel bad for picking three immature ones. I just picked the ones that looked most like the Stropharias so that the comparison would be more difficult.

Very fucking cool! What part of Oregon are you in? I haven't seen ovoids grow in Oregon anywhere out side of Portland.

It would sure be swell if someone tried to grow a patch near the river in Eugene, so every few years when it floods it could carry it throughout the valley. Portland has everything

I'm in the Salem and surrounding area too...I've found cyans near the river, baeos in mulch and stunzii's in grass areas...the actives do make it into the valley, but the coast seems to really have an abundance I don't see here...

Found a bunch of Stuntzii today

There were about 10 more patches this size.
Also found a TON of cyans. Wasn't able to get any habitat pics because I had to put on my high vis jacket and pretend to be a grounds maintenance worker lol. Filled up a full sized grocery bag about 3/4 full though!

You guys are killing it. I found some promising action/Fat pins wanting to blow up. I'm a little surprised it hasn't been destroyed yet. Very hunted area traditionally. so far seems unmolested.
