Congrats on the news! That's awesome!
So on a side note, last year I taught a buddy to hunt cyans, tried to instill good hunting edicate, but you can't expect everyone to be perfect.
He asked me this year where he should go in Tacoma, so I sent him to some well known spots. He meet few other noob hunters, and sadly he sent me these pics all stoked on their find.

Told him hey man nice find, but you got some babies in there, don't be teaching kids to pick those...
He just gave the old while if we didn't get em now someone else will...
I wish those kids he was with learned to let them mature. Least they weren't truffle hunters and cut them not dug them.
But I'm afraid I may be partially responsible for the future rapists of Tacoma patches, sorry guys...

Love popping back up on this thread every year . Pictured isn't a fraction of what was collected. Slug picture irrelevant; however it looks fucking weird.

WHAT are those slugs doin'? What's in the middle? On my monitor it appears to be some otherworldly blue-white glowy blob.
And they appear to be having a party of it.
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

Same. They probably thought no one was watching.

I'm guessing that they're sexing it up, but not only that, it looks like an orgy.
In person those globs looked other-worldly as well. Was checking out a patch that hasn't fruited yet, and found this party going on. L0l

hey guys i was wondering, when u go hunting public parks, how far from the trails/paths do u stray?
this is my first season and during my first hunt last week i found cyans right off the path of the park i was at in like the first 10 minutes. now i have been out almost everyday to different spots staying close to the paths/trails and have yet to find anything since.
thanks guys and keep up the great finds - maybe leave some for me tho hah

Went out and found a new patch of cyans yesterday after work! It was near Puget Sound in some 12" grass, and I'm still amazed that I even found the fucker. Definitely one of those extra rewarding finds. After grabbing what I could, I then headed to a couple of "my" patches from previous seasons, and they are really taking off. Great to see. I gave them a gallon of water, covered with leaves, and went on my way! Gonna head back on Friday night before I head out on a cyan-filled camping trip. Definitely a great start to my season, so far....and it has hardly even rained yet!

Here is one from my phones that I'm just getting around to posting. It's surprising how big these things can get.

Mjk nice ass azzy!
But how can you be sure they are all cyans when they seem to exhibit more of the macro features of allenii. Many of the mature specimens have down curling edges to the cap with a rather defined nipple. Very few in jousts pic show any signs of upward waves. And in the center right of betas you can see a rather large mature that hangs down like big umbrella.
What stands out to you to say they would be cyan over allenii?

In my experience allenii have a much lighter cap color. The cap margins have been more striate than cyans in the specimens I've found.
