I found a few new patches today.....surprisingly very close to where I encountered the tweakers a while ago. The good thing about these amateur/pos hunters is that they are in and out pretty quickly and don't really look that hard.

And there were many clusters like this....we just had some decent rain so I am not sure why they are looking so dry.

I meant to go check for some libs today but I have way too school work to do. I am not sure if it has been wet enough for libs anyways.

@maynard

Thanks! Yes, I was able to collect some excellent specimen.
This location was about 60 feet from
the Puget Sound and around 90 miles from the coast.

Season is really taking off! Sorry, massive post, but hunting was good to me my last 2 hunts!

You can see many more in the backround :crazy2:

Here's a habitat shot, if you look hard you can see them. There are TONS. Tall grass with VERY few wood chips scattered about. Hundreds of pins emerging for the next flush. Took me a long time on my hands and knees going through the grass to find them!

Found a few straggler Stuntzii also. Stuntzii were the first species I picked 16 years ago this month :cool3:

Found these in the raised box with the entrance sign to a park. None in the park however

My favorite pic of the season :mushroom2:

Daaaayum. This year is shaping up to be and epic one. I guess I'll share  a picture of the progress on a patch I posted earlier. I was pleased with the results. :elmo:

He's a good friend of mine. I figured it'd be him. I shot him a text and he confirmed. Maybe we can all meet up this season and hunt together?

Damn there's some nice pics!

Got a few my self, asta and I hit the beach in southern wa today with azzies on the brain!

Got to our new spot after checking a few others and boom right of the first trail!

The lil pins on the rotten mossy log was the coolest thing I've ever seen! They were literally in the log not next to it! We had to poke in to see!

Then we split up for a few and I came across the next coolest thing thing I've ever seen!

Cyans in the dune grass! Super sneaky lil bastards. Never found em here before! Saw some more pins and was like oooh then they got wavy and I was like wtf? Totally forgot cyans existed, I was so stoked on azzies! These were such a cool find! I've heard stories but now I can tell em!

Then later saw some aminitas that got confused

They thought they were azzies, silly mushrooms.

Such a good day at the beach!

Washington natural azzies on the board!

Nice azurescens. Was there wood mulch under the cyans in the dune grass? I bet other hunters came through there that had cyan spores on them and spread them there!

Not that I noticed but the whole ground is kinda grass mulch and wood mulch and sand and stuff. If the azzies can do it there so can cyans.

And yah prolly could have been another picker, but some people say cyans came from the beach like azzies, others that they came from the pine forests. Where we were they're the same damn thing. Might have been natives... Might not...

Joust! Killin it! Were those metropolitan? Or cultivation?

No I got over that craze years ago. I just smoke the panther caps I find in the spring, they're the only ones that seem worth it imo.

Just thought it was cute they were so far from any normal habitat.
