I wish I took some sexy habitat pics for you all but I was a bit too eager :P. I found 6 or so azzies today on a whim, I didn't even plan on going hunting but I followed my instincts and the shroomile gods smiled upon me . Gonna print these puppies and go back out tomorrow to spray some spore water and hopefully pick more. Sorry for the shitty blurry photos, I'll get better ones soon lol. That little snail was the first one I picked haha lovely little bugger

Peace

Nice azzies! Get a tripod to steady your excited hands take some nice pics!

Took a look in some local chip piles I dive by allot this one I could see all the princes ( I think) from the road thought hey what's up with that!

Lil did I know there was some nice gyms hiding in there too!

Then another pile I checked and found few gyms in last week, including that monster I posted, I could see some new growth do I stopped to see.

The sun beam was what made em catch my eye from the road, just had to stop they look so beautiful.

Strange though how the last big flush they stayed purple into maturity, this batch turned rather yellow. Still exhibit small blue speckled spots and grow from the same spot.

Could they be something other than g. Luteofolious?

Andrew, can u take larger habitat pics for us. Natural unmanned territory for Cyans makes me stand right up! WT!

Your prince mushrooms are likely Agrocybe.
Yeah your gyms are something in the luteofolius-aeruginosus group. Active and sexy AS F***

Good to be back on here. I found an epic patch just before the end of the season last year, been very excited to get to watch it from the beginning this year.....unfortunately it seems the local homeless guys in the area have already dug up most of the mycelium and pins leaving holes and busted  up pieces of mycelium...ran into the same group of fellas laying down in various parts of the patch picking through mycelium digging out tiny pins on three separate days..I tried to reason with them but they didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. Very sad was such an amazing patch..only had a few other very small patches I found so now I am kind back to square one. there was one patch another user on here pointed me to last year and this year it seems high school kids are killing that one...been there twice now also..once just saw a bunch of fresh scissor cuts, figured that was at the very least a respectful hunter...but soon after the high school kids showed up I walked down the path and heard them screaming at each other in excitement...I walked back over by them they got spooked and I politely asked what they were picking...long story short they were picking the few pins that were left there.....second time there same time of day 4 days later and same kids were in the patch.....

Kinda bumming me out early this year...any one in the area that's down for a hunt?

Saturday morning stroll through an area that I've long suspected  to have saprophytes hanging around...
(these pics do this patch no justice on net weight)

Ps. cyanescens

Ps. allenii

EDIT:
Novicely overlooked the accurate identification of the allenii. They are fruiting in the close proximity of nine cyanescens patches.
Shout out to the true experts out there who caught the slip. Thank-you!

Took a post-rain stroll, found some cincts chillin' on a giant pile of shit.

A couple were scaley looking, I'm thinking because they grew up in the heat, dried a bit, then blew up a bit more when the rains hit yesterday

What's a homeless person going to do with a bunch of wet mushrooms and myc?  It was most likely a person with a house that has the means to dry and store them.  Homeless people have enough problems.

So since there's no active hunting in my area, I thought I'd share what I've been waiting for and diligently hunting my garden.
Basically I live about 30 min from the Wyoming border. Started this project outdoors April 2014. Have seen nothing going on so I figured nothing would. I was wrong!

Pins first seen October 6th
Cyan pot

Today:

Azures 10/6

Today

Not as impressive as Viridis but count SE Idaho on the board!

Very long time lurker, but much props to my Idahomie Viridis, Psilosimon, Joust I love your pics! Neosporen, earthquake and Maynard to name a few

Basically everyone for sharing your finds.
I wish I lived a days drive west!

Keep up the good work and I'm glad I could make a contribution!

Pretty positive my P. cyanescens identification. Yes, the fruits appear odd, but the patch in question IMO appears to have lost its water source or suffered shock somehow and became stunted. The last three photos are actually from the same flush.

i can tell the last three pics apart, they are allenii

Took my cousin hunting for his first time, he's been bugging me for a few now. So I met him at school and we went to a bunch of spots on campus, everything was pretty "badly distressed by novice pickers" we only found one lil straggler left behind in the mess. Not a good example to show a noob

So we went to a local park in Bremerton pulled in and sat eating tacobell. A kid in a red shirt with a black hat and bad acne came booking out a trail with his eyes on the ground the whole way. I said to my cousin I bet he just scored. let's go check out what he missed.

Well turns out he was one of those novice pickers, a huge swath of the ground was missing right off the trail. White was everywhere, so I scooped up a bunch put it in my cousins big gulp for him to plant at home.

Feeling bummed we walked back the other trail exit and the most ninja cyans ever said hey!

Sometimes nature smiles on you. This was the perfect example to show my cousin what to look for, fucking lil ninjas blend in. So showed him how to harvest the ripe ones toss the rotten ones down the trail and cover the pins with leaves from more than 5 feet away. Best of all he took home a nice handful for his first day out! And some myc to start his own.
