I found some Cincts this July in my friend's greenhouse and wasn't able to find an actives thread, so here they are now! Nothing like some poo fed and watered fatties. Always glad to help a friend learn what's popping up in their garden.

It's been a kinda wet lately and cool, but I'm wondering how the summer drought will effect the mushroom season in southwestern B.C. this year. I will do a preliminary excursion in a few days to see. Perhaps we will have a bumper crop this year ...

So my buddy AstaCrazyBull here on the shroomery and from the kitsap peninsula, has had a azzy pot and a few cyan pots, and in the last few years there hasn't been much activity in the azzy pot. The cyan pots have popped a few in the last few years. And are located close by.
The azzy pot is a mixture of alder, maple, and hickory chips. Also some sand and grass root and clay from the hill side cased in fresh chips, dirt, leaves, and detritus.
The 30 gallon pot sits at the base of a weeping clay cliff.it has sticks propped up from the cliff into the pot, water leaks down the sticks year round. It was inoculated with feet from azzies found at the river mouth down south.

This got noticed this morning!
So now the question is are they azzies or cyans?
Cyans imo... What do you all think?

Those are beauts. Very nice Cincts indeed. I had the privilege of indulging in this mushroom last night. 4g dried. Very smooth and pleasant little trip. My girlfriend felt the effects only a little bit but I am almost certain that it is because she takes an SSRI (Cymbalta).
Was this patch of yours watered in July?

IMO, you can't really tell the difference between the two at this early stage. You'll know in due time.
Congrats on the successful project! You got yourself some early bloomers for sure. Is the location at elevation?

Elevation of about 100' above sea level, you can see and smell the water from the pot. We have a theory that azzies like the salty spray, if you can smell low tide then you're close enough.

My cyan pins are already coming up! Any ideas on how to stop the pill bugs (or slugs or whatever) from eating them. You can already see some munched ones in the photo...
