So I brought a pot of cyan myc inside last month and put ice on it everyday. Moved it back outside during the rain we had recently.
It's showing signs of primordia! Lil hyphal knots showed up in last 2 days.

Hoping for fruits before the first!

Well....not sure where you are at but the Snohomish County region is mid to high 70’s right now. If you could hear me right now....you would hear fart noises.

Many thanks to Skagithunter for showing me some of his Pan Cinct patches. This was pretty much an all day quest. Although it is not my first run in with this species....I learned a lot. Take a look at the Cinct mixed in with mature and young Foes. Unless Cincts are very young, their gills turn darker (grey to black) fairly quick. They were found all within the proximity of the Cinct.

This may be thw wrong place to post but I had a question for everyone. I went out last year and found maybe one patch, but they weren't quite ready and when i went back the ground was destroyed. Last year someone told me to just post and see if anyone was doing any group hunting. ( although for some reason I thought asking for someone to go walking with was against the rules?)
Golly I'm sorry if this was all wrong.

The only actives that grow in Redmond are Panaeolus cinctulus, maybe a few Gymnopilus. Yes, it's against the rules to ask for hunting buddies here. Once you're vetted here by making enough posts you'll be able to post in the gatherings forum and arrange offline meetings. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/16

No worries man. Welcome to the shroomey, there are some awesome edibles that grow near you. If you're looking actives I would suggest the coast but at the very least you'd probably need to go into the valley to find them.

I've found a lot of P. cyanescance in Seattle and surrounding areas. I'm sure they can be found in Redmond. I'm by no means an expert but I don't know why they would avoid the place.

In hindsight that's a good point. panaeolus boeing and panaeolus microsoft are the only fungus who can afford to live in Redmond, WA.

i found a shit ton of chantrelles on my hunt. that reminds me, i have a few probably rotting somewhere. god ya dumb lazy bitch.
anyway im going to go hunt for libs tomorrow if i can get out of bed early enough on my day off. it hasnt been raining but there is lots of dampness with the god awful morning fog. it makes good for hiding and being sneaky. ugh I hate being sneaky. im sooooo not good at sneakyness.
some farmer will yell "hey!!! what are you doing here?!
"uh. um. hi. um like i'm like a dr and stuff and i was taking samples of funguseses to compare with others for microscopy. plus too you can get high as fuck. plus also dont call the police. i know where you live. buh bye. have a nice day!!"

I don't know where you live, but I'm from Skagit Valley. I've never been turned down when I asked to scope a field. I've always been upfront and honest about my intentions. As long as your not dressed like a scuz you should be alright. And if you trespassed on my land and then threatened me I would most definitely get in the first and last shot. That's not at all a shroomy way to hunt. It's too early and too dry for libs anyway
