Azures from my cultivated backyard patch. Crazy thing is we're still having temps in the high 80's to mid 90's. Lows mid 50's.

I'm just posting to keep an eye on the season as it rolls in.
I'll just loom here in the shadows, don't mind me.

This kind of discussion has no place in the actives thread. There are multiple reasons why you were out of line to bring it up. We have moderators buddy, we don't need you to word/thought police our forums. No matter how much peace in my heart I have gotten from nature, I am still human and I still get pissed off. You are a noob to this site and have never made a post on the mushroom hunting forum... and yet you feel the need to come in here and tell us what we can and cannot say? And it wasn't even a valid point, it was one of the most offensively stupid comments I have ever seen. By all means, please leave. Personally, I am done talking about it.
Back to mushrooms.

It would be cool if we could move some of the discussion to the discussion thread, we are on the 20th page here and a lot of it has nothing to do with the " PNW Fall 2015/16 ACTIVES Thread"

This ovoid mycelium is super spiky, I hope it fruits this season, I've had it for years and its done nothing.

I hate to burst your bubble dude, however, neither of the 2 species you have provided pictures of are cyans.
I'm not sure what they are. I digress to a more experienced identifier if they haven't already been identified for you in this thread or elsewhere.
If I had to guess on the larger mushrooms, I would guess some variety of cortinarius sp., but I would ask for a trusted identifier's opinion.
The smaller species I would guess gallerina's. Again I would wait for a TI. But definitely not active.
I would advise against eating any mushroom without positive identification, and only then with caution.

Nice! I'd say hell yah those are some gyms, but also unless you plan on transplanting the butts you should cut em.
If you got any old logs near by dill holes in it stuff the butts inside!

That's them spores bro! Put a few caps gills down on paper or foil, wait few hours you'll get some nice prints.
If anything scrape em off and rub em on your shoes and pants before youre next hunt
Just saw your update post, yah shred that paper when your done and plant it in chip piles. Or logs. Hard wood or conifer not cedar.

Gymns are such pretty mushrooms, I hope to find some eventually. Would be a cool one to cultivate.
