Thanks! I will say these had what seemed like unusually dark brown caps, especially the pins. They are very healthy and tough though. I guess they need to be if they are fruiting in this climate? I might've passed them by if hadn't ID'd the patch last season...

Decided to take in a few cyans from the microclimate patch I've been watching rather than let them shrivel any further. Unfortunately, a lot of small pins look totally dried out. I'm seeing no fruiting elsewhere.

Probably  not cyans. Probably P. Allenii
You should spore print them to be safe, one looks a little of.

Damn... A bunch of you guys have already posted some amazing pictures. I'm always jealous of you folks in the PNW.

I tend to not even hunt actives most of the time, and when I do I'm stuck with Pan. Subs... :frown:

Keep it up though guys! I'm always checking these PNW Active threads...

Might need a few nature walks this weekend! Mid-low 70's and a little damp.

cyanescens from earlier this week. This spot is easy to find and was pinning like mad, Im afraid to go back to see it destroyed. Sad but nothing to do except keep looking.

Baeos! this area produced a few baeos last year, new patch that was well hidden under bushes. excuse the pics it was hard to get in there without destroying the habitat.

was a week too late probably. most were starting to rot and lots of rotten remnants of others. bummer, but it was pinning too.

This was the first one i saw and thought for a sec it was a cyan.

perhaps the coolest baeo I have ever found, most had long stems but this one is almost 5".

these were growing among some nice white rhizo mycelium coming through the chips. not sure what it was or if could be the baeos.

P. Allenii--very interesting. I don't think I've found these before. I took a spore print and they're a little light, but things look purple/brown to me. That said, I was a little surprised to see how much "blue" leaked out of these mushrooms overnight, staining the paper I was using for the print. I think I'm going to pick a few more.

Those are definitely Psilocybe either young cyanescens or allenii, that paper looks really cool.

Good to see this thread kicking again, my favorite time of year. Working a ton of hours this year and won't be able to hunt much. But I will take what I can.

Went and checked on 2 spots last Sunday:

Was a little late on part of the first flush

A new spot started last year.

Hope to get out there again this weekend.

Now I'm in Boise walking around at 4am. Nothing. I could find a Douglas fir in the desert quicker.
