A Little off topic. Sorry crew. The other spots in Fairhaven/Bellingham next to the water treatment plant. Best time to go is first weeks of spring. All the birds will be back doing there mateing thing so all nests will be full. Its crazy, all but the very top nest is first come first serve. Theres no order. when they fly in in the evening. Crashing through the trees trying to find a nest to claim. everynight until theres a egg in the nest.
I got Eagle spots too.

Gifted one to a young boy whos father is in the federal penatentary for snitchen on 7 higher ups. poor kid needed a spirt lift along with some parents and a life. the other was placed on my daughters grave in N. Cali. I'm sure its been snatched up by the dirty caretakers. Bad experience all the way around.

I know that's a really old post, but one of my cyanescens spots has one of those plants, and they fucking LOVE it. Like, they're coming out of all sides on the bottom. Not the best pic because it was really hard to take a picture of, but you get the idea:

What you're finding your P. cyanescens in may possibly be a sedge grass like Carex pansa. Or possibly Ammophila arenaria. Ammophila arenaria is a sedge grass native to England. P. cyanescens where first documented, in England, growing in a green house later found in relations to this plant. ^ a b Dennis, R.W.G.; Wakefield, E.M. (1 September 1946). "New or interesting British fungi". Transactions of the British Mycological Society 29 (3): 141–166. P. cyanescens where most likely introduced to the PNW through mass plantings of this species, in the early 1900's, to help prevent beach erosion The sedge in my pic is Carex testacea native to New Zealand and supplied by a local nursery. It should theoretically be a suitable habitat, as P. cyanescens are partial to decaying sedge grass rhizomorphs. That and the inoculated mesquite chips. Part of the above statement is speculation, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I apologize for being off topic.

I haven't seen any actives in a while- although I haven't looked. I do recall finding spring ovoids on valentines day last year. (pretty sure it was valentines day, as it was a v-day event when I found them.)
