Pretty sure they are a type of Galerina though.
Armarillia sp. (honey mushrooms)
Sweet, thanks. Yea, I don't go hunting, I just like to learn what things are as I run across them.
That's how the mushroom world works. Your not doing anything wrong and I agree with all of us.

This time of year for instance. Birds will trash myc zones worse then people. Next year you'll get a bigger flush. Is it from the birds, or our passionate luck.

I've seen birds dig into myc zones way more then people. Stay in your harvest zones for 4 months during fall without leaving. You'll tell yourself, omg those little suckers can make it look like a shovel has been through there. You have inspired me to videograph it.

I like birds. My "lame" coment was for the turn the convo took. Wasn't directed at anyone in particulaur.
I picked a few tonight for my various experiments/grows.

My hypothesis is there is larvae or insects living in those warm spots created by myc.

Yea mycelium breaks wood down creates soil that is very nutrient rich which attracts worms bugs then things start to grow. Then birds come and eat oh and people come along and fuck with it. A healthy ecosystem needs mycelium.

Mean while they spread the myc. Now we go back to how it's ok to pull feet and myc without worry this time of year. A few of us in the last month have said that already. Some have thought patches have been dug up by people, maybe not. Could be the critters, lol.
