Just tell them that off trail is beautiful. They can't push anymore buttons after that.
So you hadn't picked anything yet, or did you have a backpack to stash stuff?

My theory is REM sleep neurons are activated.

I doubt that. Psychedelics tend to limit sleep, and more likely keep you in lower stages if you manage to fall asleep. Do you have any articles to support your claim? Also, lets not call random ideas people have theories. A theory is something that is widely accepted by a knowledgeable community. What you have is an untested hypothesis.
Or did you mean that REM sleep neurons are activated while awake? Cuz that is a real stretch... Are there even REM sleep neurons? A quick google leads me to think that there is no such thing. Sure, there are neurons activated while in REM sleep, but they are not there for that purpose... The brain is very active during REM sleep, and many neurons are activated, but as far as I know, there is no such thing as a 'REM sleep neuron'.

Easy there, I wasn't trying to shut you down.. I've just done hours and hours of research on sleep, and written some long essays about the stages of sleep. What you wrote just made no sense to me. I was asking you to elaborate, not really trying to tell you you are wrong.

Its not about them putting you to sleep literally, but they have done brain scans of people on mushrooms and found similarities to a sleeping persons brain.
Something about deactivating/ limiting certain parts of the brain while boosting others.
Too baked to look for an article about it but I know I have read it in the past.

When you wake up at 5am and get your things together for your hiking trip, only to realize it's the wrong day and you have obligations..

As far as baeocystin, norbaeocystin, etc.
I don't know what to say. Even before we moved here in August, I had already been researching it a bit, and my wife and I ran trials for her fibromyalgia and migraines. Some people swear it works. I've found more people growing these on chronic pain websites than you'd ever imagine. So it works for some people, others have claimed baeo worked better for migraines than cubes.. I don't know what to make of it since the research isn't there.
These mushrooms really plant your ass down that's for sure. As for the paralysis, I don't know. I've really only had it on fresh ones but I have radicular neuropathy in my arms and hands so I guess I'm not the best test subject.
Search engine shows people have been looking for a reasonable explanation here for well past a decade. The best lead I've found is an article written in Czech, and need someone to translate, and can't exactly ask my father.
I'm not about to stop studying or working towards an answer in what now seems like a wild goose chase. Maybe one day I guess there will be an answer, but I'm certainly not qualified enough nor do I have the equipment to do anything more than read what others have said or done.
To be honest? I wouldn't be surprised if it's a serotonin reaction throughout the body, with scientists recently releasing an article that our bodies are chock full of them and it's not all in our heads.
Stay shroomy everyone.

That's MY spot! Just messin Hahaa I used to drive down that road way too fast trying to beat sunrise and be the first car in the parking lot.
Gotta beat this fucking Subaru with deadhead stickers! Fuck!
Glad to see it's producing well
Now what's funny is I recognized the genetic variations from that specific location before I saw your first photo.
This is probably the same organism from years past check it out

A friend that I grew up with was stationed in that area while serving in the coast guard and he said a 'local' let him in on the knowledge. Said they were Azures. I try to make it down/over there every year if I can. I'm currently tripping lightly on what I brought home. I guess I never really ID them officially. There is just a texture and some features that I'm familiar with and of course the bluing.
I did notice differences mostly in the caps. What are the official genetic variations?
Fun spot to hunt. Never fails.

I found these hunting earlier today.

I've been on the most breathtaking journey of my life since I was a young gun. Those of you who helped hold my hand and let me learn it on my own know who you are. Love you all so much, please don't fight, you all do so much good for the environment and spreading the love.
Stay safe, warm and dry.

They are Azures. I'm not sure what it is about them from that spot, they are perfect looking. Never saw the cyans there
Here's some of my azure pics last January or February

Sweet, thanks. Yea, I don't go hunting, I just like to learn what things are as I run across them.
