Best I can find is nine, and I stared at that for at least five minutes.
Usually (in this thread) they're lost in the leaves, not grass. So it's definitely one of the best camouflage pics of the thread!

There was 11 visible in the photo but around 30 in the patch, picked the ripest ones left a few pins for next time. And the one on the top right isn't a lookalike. The Red indicator mushrooms, can't remember species name were also present about 3 feet away. Well manicured lawn under a monterey pine(pinus radiata) super busy street.

Sure.
Upvotes or "+1'ing" a post can be a few things. Someone may agree with an opinion you post, agree with your hunting advice or think a joke you made was funny. Maybe they just like your pictures. Could be anything, but whichever the case, you can move your mouse over the +1 area on your own posts and it will show a list of names of people who did it.
There's also a setting in "Account" to disable the feature so people only see that "Anonymous" put a +1. It keeps people from knowing who you are; you might, say, not like them as a person but love their new tek.
They seem to be used more so in the community forum. I had thought people here would use it more for the mycoporn, or someone's finds were impressive etc.
I did a +1 on your post so you can see the mouse-over user list.
I'm tired and my head was twisted really hard yesterday and I'm trying to pick up pieces of my broken soul ( ) so I hope that makes sense.
The short and sweet is that it's like when people on Facebook. Occasionally you'll see it with helpful posts.

Washington coast has the smallest weirdest blooming cyans and azures. The newer fruits are the size of nickels and sometimes dimes then start to die. Pin, grow a bit, drop spores. It looks like that area is gearing up to push out these final flushes.
Very fragile. Malleable. Very odd feeling them in my hands. The older mature fruits feel normal in my hands, but these little things almost don't feel like actives mushrooms. If I didn't know what to look for I'd assume they were different mushrooms (sorry no pics very public spot). They're potent like no other, though.
Has been an incredibly interesting season going from West Oregon Coast up through West WA coast. Even just watching how different these things get as the habitats start to change and their morphology changes. And yet, in the midst of that, you'll still always find the textbook fruits. Found some in an area that I never would've begun to think to look in, as I never had success in that habitat all year in OR, but they seem to love it in Washington. Just cyans and azures sitting side by side like that was a sight to behold. I never would've believed it until I saw it with my own eyes.
Edit to add: The myc smells different too. Like first you get that habitat smell, the mushroom smell, then that good smell and follow your nose right to where they sit.
Oregon in the past month has been pushing this deep earthy sweetness in the air. I've not noticed the "sweetness" undertones in Washington much at all. It's harder to tell if you're smelling actives vs mushrooms in WA. I've met some hunters that have no idea what I'm talking about, but then other pickers have said they just walk until the wind brings the scent and leads them right into the thick of it.
In either case, just so fascinating, both humans and mushrooms and the biodiversity of it all. These have been the most fulfilling months of my life in a long time, and it's not just for the drugs. So gorgeous here, such kind people too.

That's a bummer, but you should keep looking. I just checked all of my patches and they have had new flushes since the frost, only one small patch was aborted.
