Little cyan hunting on the dunes. Found a new(to me) spot, lots of pins. Its obviously a known spot as the grass is trampled.

And these guys are my indicator/lookalike species. They're normally off the ground and always on wood but sometimes they are a dead ringer from above, however they have a dark brown stipe.

They sell that shit by the tub at the dollar store. That shit was funny.

On another note... Last march or april? I gave a friend of mine's son, a scoop out of one of my back yard Beds. I remember it didn't fruit last year even though the myc was thick and running wild. Today i run into the dude and he says Until today the jar i gave him has been sitting in a cupboard in the RV he calls home. forgotten about this whole time.

Found a few spots putting out again.

Those pins are so cool looking! They're like little alien squid tentacles.

This isn't looking good. Beach approach structures and other buildings are flooding or flooded W & NW Oregon and SW Washington. Be safe guys and girls and if you know any fishermen I'm sending vibes for them. Sorry I don't know if this constitutes weather but be safe, please, especially with it being the holidays. Some of those shadowed mountain roads can be deceiving.

I disagree.  My Excalibur five tray might be more expensive, but it's worth it.  Horizontal fan for more equal drying, a temperature dial that is accurate, and a warranty that works.  It kicks the pants off of the last muffin/round style one I had that burnt some while leaving others still wet.

Don't worry too hard Dys, it's always storming out at the coast in the winter.  I drove up 26 to seaside during a storm a couple of winters ago and it was fine.  I just drove behind the snow plow that was pushing all of the branches and debris out of the road, smooth sailing.

So... There I was at the vets office this morning,
I looked out the window and saw this

Looking around a bit... Counted over 100 mushrooms
My guess... Allenii but could be just cyans

Went pell hunting yesterday on the Oly Penn
Found a few new ones, short stems and close to the ground
Saw in same area, Mycenae and gallerina so make sure if you are pell hunting what you pick is a pell!

Peace

not a wild find but these azurescens are finally developing out back. Started fruiting a couple weeks ago then it got real cold, almost exactly a year later after they started out as clones from dune specimens

they are damn slow to mature but at least the slugs have had their fill for now. this week is looking good for temps, hopefully they get to drop spores!

Healthy little patch growing at 350m elevation.. huddling together for warmth. no leaves for protection, just facing the sun in dark-coloured mulch near cement buildings.

Why do I feel like I've looked everywhere for a month straight, but still not found the proper azure habitat!? :/
I look for dead dune grass, mixed with shrubs/ mixed with and w/o trees, moss, less windy areas. I have looked in 100s of acres of clear cuts and not found pelliculosa; I have walked dozens of parks from tillamook, OR to Seattle, WA, looking for cyanescens;
My only finds the entire season were out of habitat ! Lol- I need help folks- message me if youd feel so kind!

I sent you a message with some hunting advice. People are finding them. Sorry that I can't give locations, would if I could, but hopefully those pointers will help you. Stay safe, dry and warm.

I feel you bro I got lucky my first week. Talk to the locals maybe see where some reputable spots are. I've had luck in state parks. Got a couple fatties today.
