I'm sure that the coast is still producing mushrooms but the only way to really know is to check.

Portland is still producing them after the frost and now with these rains. Are all P. cyans. supposed to have a really solid white stipe? What do you say about these (pics)? Clearly bruising greenish/blue on stipe, cap margins and reminiscent myc, but they have quite brownish stipes to me. The white part looks very superficial.

Those cyans look ok to me, kinda look like they got stepped on tho maybe.
Forgive me, everyone I offended on here about 15 pages ago.
Never again.
When ever I'm questioning the quality or condition of a fruit, I smell it. If it smells off I toss it.
I found some growing next to a bunch of what I think r called.jelly cups or somwthing. Seems like the jellies had dominated the scene and maybe started to grow onto a few of the cys. They smelled off also tossed em

Indeed, I put them to dry and once they started drying they got their white color back on the stipe and caramel colored caps

I found some small azzies growing today like dys said, in the right microclimate. That's exactly what I was thinking. I've been reading books on mushrooms found some purple club fungi growing it was pretty gnarly.

It looks like the threshers have come, boys and girls. Went somewhere today and the place was destroyed. It's been all over Clatsop and WA. Lots of people working, in and out of everywhere, busy busy cutting out good habitat and the mushrooms that once grew in them.
But, myc was in the air. There are spots but they're going to need some time without a freeze. They look like they have a lot of work to do, in Clatsop OR and Lincoln County WA.
I haven't seen Depoe Bay mentioned yet.
So I imagine these things do what, prevent overgrowth and invasive species? What do you guys call them here? They cut down everything in their path. Looks like a bobcat with a huge lawn mower blade on it.

I've seen clearing of scotch broom in WA state parks. Is that what your referring too?

Yeah and widening trails, preventing overhang etc and roads and stuff.
I saw some widow makers dude, 30 was so bad this morning heading west, and fuck I ended up stuck on 101/103 coming home tonight.
Last spot was just like straight up cleared. It was heartbreaking.

The flail mower zones are usually some of the best areas to look. The mower chips up everything and leaves it all in place. When the mower does come across an already colonized area it picks up pieces of mycelium and spores to spread afar. Mark these spots and check them in later years.

My gf spotted some pins today. I might visit my old patches and see what they're up to, Round 2?

I was hoping there would be at least something interesting going on with those huge rotten fruits I spotted but they got minced. Next year I truly do hope it is better, and I also put some work into it so that feels good.
And I hate to ask but what's up with these other people on the coast? I'm just a passing tourist. Are they too? I've avoided parking in some areas just by the look/contents of vehicles. We had gypsies in Mass. They kicked them off the beach and had homeless in the streets and were surprised.
That myc is deep as heck under the grass. But it's got a pair of balls. Once it works through that you guys will clean up.

Here is the ones that didn't get leaves. It's not in the middle. I was taking pics in the dark. Had to guess my aiming and that's what I got.
