This last two weeks has been successful for me: I came home to find these gyms growing out of my house.
I drove to a known patch and saw it was doing well.
My Subbs were still producing at the beginning of the two weeks.
I dragged the family down to Oregon to hunt azurescens, and was fairly successful.
I went looking for pellies in a clear cut, and found these gyms.
Alas, all good things must end.
I am hoping to pull a pelly hunt when I'm home in December. We'll see what happens. Thank you to everyone for their advice and guidance. Fryers Quest you are fun to hunt with and Goddam you're good. Nice hauls and nice finds everyone, but above all nice diversity in species.

I posted a fully mature flush in February in last year's thread. I also posted some spring cyans as well. If the conditions are right they'll grow.
Here are the cyanescens. Found on 2/16/15

Here are the spring cyans. Definitely a watered spot. 4/29/15

They're baking now lol I tried to take spore prints with three of them only one came out good on aluminum foil how do I get it into a water bottle? Are those pins I picked aborts? Would they have continued to grow or did the frost kill growth? I figured if they won't grow to maturity might as well take them, still left a bit though.

Found a new patch in the back yard this morning. They are coming up out of dirt. Chips nearby but none in this particular planter. There is a wooden border around this bed. Hopefully they decide to colonize it. Gonna throw a few colonized chips on it along with some new chips as well.

I see you have LP siding too. Maybe some day my house will start sprouting gyms. Very cool! Nice meaty specimens.
Don't think I'd eat them though, what with the formaldehyde & isocyanate in OSB.
Congrats on your season.

Hell yeah. Looks like someone drove nails right through the cable to secure it. Brilliant!

This looks like T1-11 to me, LP siding is normally horizontal, its also normally made of concrete and wood pulp.

Thank you. I didn't eat them, and I was too busy to clone them. Maybe I'll still be getting them when I'm home in December and I can clone them. That is if the heat from the house helps them out at all. There was a flush of a dozen or so about ten feet down, all pins. I doubt they'll survive until then, but it would be nice. All around the house in different spots there would be one or two. It was... wait for it... Magical.

randallsbook said: Colonized chips up your odds for same year fruit. Spore water is hit and miss. Even better. Myc Water Too much time involved waiting for results with waters. Mycillium has instant results. Shallow wood is better than deep wood. Just my opinion of course. Example of chip depth when i make the spot. Shallow and wide is my long term goal. Small shallow and fully colonized is my first year goal. Set it and forget it is the best tech. Quite fucking with your spots once you do you prefered delivery method. In my exp. I have had my doubts about late season spore and myc water. I assume some tissue survives, but having time to eat up enough to go dormant makes me wonder. I'm not calling the shots though, that's up to the organism.
Maybe I've already said this elsewhere, but this is an update of sorts, in context with what i just wrote:
A few years back, I found a monster patch of cyans at a certain big park in south Seattle. Any accidental stem butts or old specimens went into an eight gallon slurry. I walked around the same park with a clean backpack sprayer and distributed it to about a tenth of the park.
Haven't been back to check on things, but a friend has said not much is going on, or he showed up late. While i was spraying, one lady asked what I was doing. I told her I was a volunteer working independently for the parks department inoculating the park with beneficial fungi for soil health and such. She seemed pretty happy

The wife is gonna kill me but I'm going hiking one last time this season. Working my way along the coast. I still have two more sights to see anyway. I hope I come back with better pics. Nearly killed my phone this season. There's a good 60 miles I want to cover. It's worth the drive through the foothills. You folk still cleaning up azzies near sidewalks bring new meaning to jealousy. Keep up the good work.
I've gotta spread my brother's ashes. He always said we would go to the Pacific together one day. Sucks it's gotta be like this but he'd do it for me. I know one of you spread ashes this year too, much love out to you man.
