Have you ever stored mushroom tea in the fridge for several days without no degradation?
I stored mine, only 3 days, when I went to drink it, it was completely gone, I didn't feel anything.

Yes. That's why you should add a tablet of vitamin c, or squeeze a bunch of lemons into it (if you made a big batch). Vitamin C will stop oxidation.
Either that or store it in the freezer. In which case vitamin c and freezer is literally the best way to store it.

In the future, use the freezer or just store ur munshies until u want to make tea...oxidation is a bitch

But I made the tea with a lot of lemon. I don't get it, it was dark blue and no effect.
Maybe it's the opposite? Vitamin C converts psilocybin into psilocin and psilocin is less stable than psilocybin.

No. It doesn't do any conversions. And dark blue means it's oxidizing. When adding vitamin c, it's always brown for me. Some have even seen it be a light grey. The point being blue and black is oxidation. Very bad.

How is Psilocybin converted to Psilocin inside our body?

Through the liver. I'm not going into detail lol. I'm sure you can Google it. Psilocybin is too big to pass through the blood brain barrier. So it's not like all of it gets converted, it's just that psilocybin won't go into our brain.

I've been searching it, what i found is that the psilocybin is absorbed by the small intestine, enters the bloodstream and goes through the liver where is produced a substance called "Glucuronic Acid" the precursor of vitamin C (Ascorbic acid). This substance is used by the liver to convert strange substances(drugs) into readily excreted hydrophilic products.
In other words, ascorbic acid does convert psilocybin into psilocin.

I might stand corrected, but it really doesn't matter either way, since the point I'm making has nothing to do with that. I'm saying that psilocin will not degrade further, and turn into other inactives when in a solution with vitamin c. This is pure psilocin. Regardless of what form it's in (psilocin or psilocybin), it won't oxidize with vitamin c, and left over psilocybin will still get converted in the liver. So regardless if vitamin c will convert it or not, its main function in this case is to prevent oxidation. Conversion isn't what'll stop oxidation, and actually psilocin is less stable. So under that logic, it would oxidize easier.
Sources that it stops oxidation: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/3129834 I really liked reading this one: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15914988

I keep adding citric acid until it's not blue (specifically the cut up fruits). Acid dephosphates psilocybin into psilocin. The former is more stable in dried fruits but obviously less stable in acidic water.
The solution is generally brown or tan depending on if I used dried or fresh fruits.
If I don't intend to drink tea immediately I freeze it. So I can't really tell you how stable psilocin is in an acidic solution.

I've been searching even further and what I discovered is that what actually converts psilocybin into psilocin is the "intestinal alkaline phosphatase" which is present in all tissues throughout the entire body, but is particularly concentrated in liver, bile duct, kidney, bone, and intestinal mucosa. Vitamin C is great antioxidant though and helps to cross the brain barrier more easily.

Store it in the freezer next time. I've stored tea in the freezer for up to 3 or 4 months with no potency loss. THere's a member on here who has stored it for around 1-2 years(maybe 3) and has reported no potency loss.
